I found Mom’s chocolate cake recipe from her Comanche aunt, Lillian. Called for “Oleo” and it’s made with Crisco. I still have her feast pans so I made it.
Refrigerated, the pooled frosted edges are excellent. And the corners? They’re worth fist fighing for.
