They need to build a new terminal in Bedford, a new terminal in Halifax, a temporary terminal for the existing ferries while they build the new one, a maintenance facility for of these new ferries, plus the captains all have to go back to school to get recertification for larger boats. Meanwhile, the Vincent Coleman has been sitting in Dartmouth Cove for almost 6 months now being used as a spare part boat because there's no preventative maintenance on the existing ferries. Two of the most senior captains who keep the place running by taking all of the overtime are both retiring this year and another captain I know is planning to quit. The whole operation from the top down is a joke. The management at the ferries couldn't manage a Swiss Chalet.
