Be like Dave."

Two hooded figures with lamps approach a moonlit, isolated cottage. A woman answers the door. We have come for the child, says the hooded figure So soon? she asks It is time, says the hooded figure. The woman is distraught. We should never have got him a library card! What is done cannot be undone, says the hooded figure We couldn’t see the harm! We just wanted him to enjoy reading! For most, it ends there, says the hooded figure, turning away and walking into the wilderness Oh lord, What have I done! says the woman, the child walks past her and out into the darkness with them. Do not cry mother. I am a writer now.

This is not a drill. Adjust your May budget immediately.
I do kind of wish my first experience seeing Ringu was watching it on VHS.
My first experience with the series was walking in cold to Ringu 0. Soon after I saw the first film in a great Seattle cinema with an appreciative crowd, and it rocked our worlds. I had screamers on either side of me, and two behind me. Quadrophonic terror.
I have got to start setting an alarm.
Unexpectedly high royalty check ameliorates my guilt over recent hobby and entertainment spending.

In fact I am delighted to have left VA.
Bloody hell, the April snow.
Franca has great taste in posters.

Only two things enrage me these days: big things and small things.
I need to look at that one.
When the next person balks at my description of SF as "plausible fantasy," I'll point them here.
How I miss Norwescon.
It's one of the best Pathfinder sourcebooks in memory.
Can't this week. I'll be at a local film festival. But sometime soon, for sure.
Good selection!
The Love That Remains. I reckon there's a fair chance it'll be available streaming by the end of summer, but I do like seeing films in the cinema.
What feels like a short time ago, I looked out the window and thought, "At least the snow has melted."
I just made the mistake of looking out the window again.
An XL coffee began my productive day, but an unexpected flurry of editing has made me late for the film I wanted to see.
Bah!
Kurt Russell as Snake Plisken dropping the line "Get a new president."
Once again, Snake Plisken is on point.
Get your shingles vaccines, non-kids. That shit is horrible.
It's not me; I had my jabs. I'm suffering vicariously through a friend.
Clarification: It's fucking snowing again.
Yes, you do.
