Small butterfly sits, wings up, on gravel. His wings are colored a mottled brown and have stunning eyespots all along their borders. Each eye is a set of concentric circles in white, blue, gold, dark brown, light brown, and darkish-brown.

The Eyed Brown (Satyrodes eurydice) made an appearance in our driveway after the night's rain. All those eyes! And the double eye at the bottom!
