Many TACTT members joined the tens of thousands of people across the country today protesting the recent supreme court ruling. Incredible to see these numbers at such short notice!

We are devastated and enraged by yesterday's supreme court ruling which ruled that trans women are not included in the definition of women in the Equality Act.

My favorite myth is the lung size in trans women gives them a blanket advantage. Taller individuals naturally have larger lungs on average) & lung size is not a good predictor of sport performance (Hopkins et al., 2018; Degens et al., 2019; Åstrand et al., 1964).
Fact ~ no studies exist which shows trans women can run or swim faster, jump higher, or throw farther than cis women athletes.
You have to demonstrate that before excluding” transgender athletes!!!!!
A study from Emisil has revealed the most inclusive countries for growing a LGBTQ+ family in 2025. They are Switzwerland, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands.

Today I’m editing a chapter on aromanticism. So I’m currently scrolling an 1850s German document (a language I am NOT proficient in) to try and find a reference for asexuality (for context, not conflation)!
Always important to remember psychology has always been, and continues to be, as much about regulation and disciplinary power as healing.
I’ve spent my day editing chapter authors’ submissions for a book. The last chapter of the day was detransitioning, pointing out just how little we know, &how little support there is. Research tends to suggest it’s rarely about being not being trans, & more to do with not feeling ok to be ourselves
