Someone snapped a pic of me plotting everyone’s demise 😂

Me: "there were a lot of things I didn't learn about myself until I was in my thirties"
New acquaintance: "was autism one of them?"
Either this is a really common experience or I got called the f*ck out 😂
Me: *logging on to an important virtual meeting*
My cats: WE SHALL SCREAM INTO THE UNIVERSE ON THIS FINE MORNING
I'll be reading from a banned book at this event tonight, and as someone who's learning ASL I am SO FREAKING EXCITED that there's going to be an interpreter there 🤩
How about some mystery creepy crawlies to start your day😀🪳🕷️🐍🐀

Check it out! I'm featured in the Bookish Spotlight of M.K. Schultz's latest blog post: substack.com/home/post/p-...
It’s wild when I look back and realize that the me of 10 years ago would not be able to handle the average workday of the me of today without having a severe meltdown or panic attack. I’m far from perfect but damn what an improvement
I haven’t watched that one yet but it’s on my list 🤩
Yeah I’m more of a cat person than a people person 😛
Now that I think about it, what may have saved me was the fact that I was watching with friends who were also suffering second hand embarrassment so I was entertained by their discomfort 😂
I actually really enjoyed that one, but for some reason Tim Robinson’s style of awkward works for me 🤷
No I haven’t - and based on the movie description I feel like I may not survive watching it 🤣
Me watching movies...
Horror with someone getting pulled apart: "Yay, I love this! More blood!"
Non horror with awkward social situations: "I CAN'T HANDLE THIS. TURN THIS MOVIE OFF RIGHT NOW."
Something might be wrong with me 😚
My favourite gender affirming moments are when my partner refers to me as a thing, a goblin, and/or an eldritch horror 🥰
Mark told me about a panting mishap at work that resulted in flesh coloured walls. Now I've been thinking about having a flesh coloured office w/a Hellraiser style mural of bodies. Mark said if ever we live somewhere where my office isn't visible to the rest of the house he'll help make it happen😍
Cold Cuts & Cigarettes by Stephanie Anne - Audiobook out now! through select retailers - stephanieanneauthor.ca
After battling the "pending" issue "Cold Cuts & Cigarettes" is now an audiobook! I'm chipping away at my catalogue to make sure all my books are available in audio format. I don't have release dates yet (this'll be a time consuming project) but I'll let folks know once a new audiobook is out!
My pronouns may be she/they, but I get a little burst of joy when someone talks to me like I'm a man. I've been called "brother", "dude", and "he" (accidentally, but I'll take it), and I love it. My gender truly is chaos.
I got a lot done last week. None of it was writing. So, here's to a new week 🥲
Getting my CT Scan today 🥳
(and after seeing the latest Final Destination I'm glad it's a CT Scan and not an MRI lol)
TBH I didn't realize what yesterday was until it was too late. I swear everything I posted on April 1 was real 😭
Last night I was drunk and watching the new Netflix dinosaur series and I suddenly came up with the perfect way to fix an old cosmic horror story I abandoned a couple of years ago (no, the fix does not involve dinosaurs). Inspiration sure strikes at weird times.
This is a @midknave.bsky.social appreciation post because he’s been a freaking rockstar these past few days. He’s always super supportive of me but he’s gone above and beyond lately ❤️
The Ottawa author and bookish and reader community is so freaking awesome ❤️
You can always try going directly to the blog from my website 🤷
The sequel the Skull Daddy is taking up most of my writing time. But also all the events that I mentioned in the blog post 😅
I opted for a much sillier writing update than usual this month😜But when presented with a silly opportunity (and a picture to go with it), I can't ignore the signs.

Any movie that has Jeffrey Combs in it is a good movie 🥰
I will not apologize for the silly shit I write in the margins while beta reading
