Flat tiles for testing glazes stacked up in a small test kiln. The photo is looking down on them. There are 3 different dark clays that look a lot like chocolate.
270+ chocolatey test tiles getting ready for a bisque-fire. I almost want to take a bite! Over the years, I’ve gotten my fair share of clay in my mouth…it’s not as good as it looks.😬😂🍫🍩
That’s great advice! Thanks!
I will do that!🔥
Thank you! Made using my (beloved) Bailey one-pass slabroller!🎉🥰
Thank you so much!💕
Thank you!💕
Six hand built pottery mugs. All are textured and glazed. Some have imprints of the First City Art Center logo.
These will be a few of the hundreds of glass and pottery cups up for grabs at Hot Glass Cold Brew-Sockhop! This Friday the 7th!🔥🍻🐩

Eleven beads that were Raku-fired. These are made by taking a long triangle of clay and rolling it up in like those “croissants” that come in the roll. They are a variety of glazes. White crackle, yellow crackle, and some copper/green shiny glazes.
Five beads that are flat, rounded triangles with a circle cut-out. They are Raku-fired in various glazed. One bead is long and twisted and has a white crackle glaze.
Nine round, flat textured beads glazed the same as the previous photos.
A contraption for firing Beas and other small items in a Raku kiln. It is made of stainless steel brackets bolted together. High fire wire holds the beads in place on the contraption
A few of the pieces from our Raku firing Saturday! Little gems.

100% agree! I searched #potterystarterpacks and #3Dprintingstarterpacks earlier. Got nothing. (now I will🤣)
Gack! 5-minute edit would be nice. Can we add hashtags late? #catsofbluesky #studiocat #pottery #ceramics #pottersofbluesky
A white and gray kitty with yellow eyes is laying on a birchwood covered studio work table. He is looking innocently upward. The table has been wiped down with a sponge and has water-darkened everywhere except around and under the kitty.
Who else has a studio kitty who “helps out”? This is Chappie James. He was more interested in a bug on the wall than moving so I could wipe down the whole table.🤭🐈⬛🧽
I have another Bluesky account I’ve used for news and politics for a while. I was a heavyTwitter user for news and left them. I posted and reposted a lot and had some opinions.🤣 I keep my Instagram and this Bluesky account for posting pottery. I don’t mind others posting other subjects, though!
I'd love to be added!😊
Remember Periscope? That’s where I first started following him. Glad to see him here.
Wow!
Thanks!
Do you still have space left? I’d love to be added!
🤣
I agree!
Dark stoneware bowl that has not been glazed yet. The view is looking straight down on the bowl showing stamped texture all around the edges. The clay has not been fired and looks like chocolate!
The same bowl as in the previous photo, but I’ve added three small tubes to the center of the bowl to make an “Ikebana” vase for flowers. The tubes have holes in the bottom that will allow water to pass into the tubes and keep the flower stems hydrated. The vase is glazed in white with the texture showing through. In this case, I put 2 simple wild geranium stems with a few green leaves and pink and white flowers.
Textured clay and flowers.
🎶 These are a few of my favorite things…🎶🐶🐝💧

3 cupcake holders. They look like cake plates, but small for cupcakes. The photo shows a pink, a white and a green celadon cupcake holder thrown and hand built out of porcelain. Each one holds a cupcake from a local cupcake shop.
This photo shows a green celadon cupcake holder with a glass dome as a cover for a cupcake with pink icing.
✱ Day 2✱
I love this challenge. It’s making me go back through my past work and add pieces that I stopped making back into my ‘in-rotation’ collection. The cupcake holder with the glass globe was a collaboration with a local glassblower.

I just clicked on your link in you other post and it looks like it’s working now!
This is incredible!
I started a new post to fest the tag, but I don’t see it showing up
