The site is kinda a hilarious/sad happenstance. People were super desperate for an alternative just as x was tanking but the creators did not want that user base at all.

They lack the powdered gum flavoring you get with baseball cards.

OH oh man I am regretting looking into this stuff after not using bsky most of today. Like, any site will have issues and down periods but when it's runners are directly hostile to its user base..... Man, I really don't want to find another site yet again.

I am generally thinking there was a huge miss in the US in teaching general empathy, ethics and like professionalism in the tech industry. It's dystopian and horrifically depressing.
