That's it. That's the post...
It’s all 2D pixel art
Despite my recent obsession with a totally unrelated terrain generator, a lot of progress has been made on Cyclopean II. Mostly it is art assets I am preparing to include in the game, so these are actually older screenshots... #ScreenshotSaturday #Retrogaming #CRPG
It was so nice chatting! I have a tendency to ramble if you give me the chance, so I appreciate your patience :)
Someone let me talk online...

Nice review of a game that I enjoyed...
This is the way
My new terrain generator has consumed me ... this was supposed to be a light side project while I finished up the art for Cyclopean II. But it is taking on a life of its own.

Yeah it definitely depends on the genre. I remember getting lost in some first person shooters and thinking "I just want to fight monsters!"
I think confusing areas requiring the player to pay attention and take notes or draw maps is underrated.
This game has no name. While I have been making a lot of art for my main project, I have found the need to divert myself by occasionally toying around with procedural generation. So this game will be getting a major overhaul soon too.

For the record it is not my game, but something I recently play-tested and enjoyed :)

Fishing in a river
Cozy, monochromatic fishing game with hand-painted art and an ambiguous narrative? Anyone?

There's nothing in the Law of War Manual about murdering civilians? Because that's who dies when you end a civilization. Or are you being dense?

An old Victorian style city in a CRPG
Are we still using #WishlistWednesday? I am working on adding many new cities, each of which will have unique culture and architecture, for my #CRPG Cyclopean II. Try the free #DEMO or wishlist it here... #RETROGAMING

I feel like that wound just add an extra layer of complexity to the whole process. What’s the advantage?

I never really liked the look of Half-Life, but it still holds up as one of the best fps games. It is always challenging your expectations, and allowing you to approach problems from different ways, without getting overly complex. The amount of different environments and level designs is great!
Thanks!
Much appreciated!
I'm working on lots of buildings spanning multiple cultures for Cyclopean II. This involves sketching in my notebook, scanning then coloring digitally. I enjoy seeing the images evolve. Here is an unfinished phase that seems interesting.

I will be on the internet today.
