For reasons unfathomable to me now, I never read any Poppy Z Brite. I picked up Swamp Foetus yesterday at the @cymerafestival.co.uk stall and his line immediately cast me under her spell. I must have read it 5 times.
If any theatre-people want to help make this a physical manifestation, HMU.
Maybe it's just me, but I consider MALDOROR a real canonical text of the weird. I find it frustrating that there are no audio versions of it (in English at least), nevermind immersive, sound-designed ones.
Once my current writing project completes, I'm getting on that.
