My breakfast and dinner both included bacon. Today has been a good day.

I wouldn’t have went to undergrad where I did. Wouldn’t have made the friends I did. Wouldn’t have met my wife. I definitely wouldn’t have went to law school if I had undergrad debt. Completely different life right now without that happening.

Getting a full ride scholarship for undergrad was such a blessing. I sometimes think about how different my life would be now if that hadn’t happened.

Sike. We’ll be in bed by 9:00 pm. The only clubs we go to now a days are CostCo and Sam’s Club.

Decided we wanted a fancy Friday night dinner. So I’m in the drive thru at Popeyes right now.

Someone once told me being a lawyer is like being a surgeon except there is another surgeon in the room trying to kill your patient while you are trying to save them. Sometimes after a tough day I think about that quote and laugh.

The day after holiday email barrage from people either catching up on last week’s emails or trying to start fresh on new cases is coming today. Prepare accordingly.

Taking a 4 day weekend was needed and it was so very nice. I have not felt this energized and refreshed in a while.

Today is my first Fourth of July as a permanent resident and I’m proud to call the U.S. home.

This place is far from perfect and chronically fails to live up to its promise. But I’m excited to be part of the community and work to make the country better, more just, and more equal.
