We wish you all some happy holidays, a Merry Christmas 🎄🎁, and all the best for the upcoming New Year 2026 🎆🎇
We are looking back on a successful year 2025 and are grateful for all the support 🙏🏻
This year's card was kindly made by Marcos @notlillittle.bsky.social
Tobi and I were invited to highlight the recent paper of the team led by Vitórica-Yrezábal and Brammer in Nature Chemistry, so please enjoy "CO2 sorption in fluorinated non-porous coordination polymers" 😍 @chemiehhu.bsky.social @hhu.de

Last week I had the great pleasure of visiting the @szyszkobart.bsky.social group and meeting their hardworking students. In addition to amazing organisation and hospitality, all invited speakers also had the opportunity to present at the 67th PTChem Meeting. 🇵🇱🙏🏻 @chemiehhu.bsky.social
Our latest mini review on Porous Organic Cage-based Frameworks is finally edited now! 🚀
Dive into Cage-COFs, Cage-POPs, Cage-MOFs, and more next-gen porous materials for catalysis, separation, and sustainability!

The Et2F2 cage looks like that, the amine building block is connected twice to the same linker:

Even–odd effects meet visible-light switching! 💡
Our latest paper shows how simple diamines direct the formation of azobenzene macrocycles. A bit of a lighter read in comparison to current news everywhere..:

Supramolecular chemistry has officially "grown up" in Germany. On behalf of the 10-person Founding Team👇, I am happy to announce the creation of section SupraChem within the German Chemical Society! 🍾 GDCh members please consider joining asap via www.gdch.de/suprachem @gdch.bsky.social
I was there 😀👍
Thank you so much for taking that picture and coming to my talk! It's a shame we could not/barely talk this time.
Yaaaaay!
Really great work!
Thank you, it really means a lot to us 😊
When writing such articles, and it always is a lot of work and I promise myself to never to do it again, I often think this is never going to be found ^^
Our review on photoswitchable self-assembled cages and macrocycles was selected as one of the most popular articles of 2023 & 2024! It's amazing to hear it being read and well received. @jonavoss.bsky.social @hhu.de

A profound loss for science overall. An extraordinary chemist with remarkable contributions to the field of self-assembly. Condolences to the family.
Slowly, this very stressful year is coming to and end and we want to wish all of you a Happy Christmas time🎄 and all the best for the upcoming year 2025 🎉🐍
Tim's article on porous organic Tri4Tri4 cages was selected as the front cover of ChemComm🏆🥊🎉

It's a shame that gifs do not seem to work on bluesky yet 😱
We studied a fluorinated and a non-fluorinated tetrahedral Tri4Tri4 porous organic cage for H2, CO2, and CH4 adsorption. Finally something porous from our lab again with quite some surprises regarding selectivities and stabilities 🧪⚗️ #pocs @hhu.bsky.social
