‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ except the guy is hideous on the outside, too. You’d think nobody would be interested in that story, yet …

"Hoppy" Easter & Happy International Day of Conscience from Maggie Waggy & Niko Sneako! (They would've shared their "eggs" with you, but those are now bits of floof all over the living room.)

I was a better person when my parents were still alive, and the world was a better place. Remembering my Dad on his birthday (and every day) and saying an ancestral prayer. ♥️

🎤 Tiptoe through the tulips with me! 🎶

Hang out at #Botanica with me & my #KansasAuthorsClub buddies the next 4 Wednesday nights. I'll share my poems at the last one ... unless I've fainted from nervousness from sharing the "stage" w/ @tracibrimhall.bsky.social!

I've sent a few of these to specific people, but I still feel like I owe someone else an apology. Will this work? 🤷‍♀️ P.S. I forget where I got this Apology notepad … I apologize about that, too!

Author Event with Julie Ann Baker Brin Advance praise calls this collection "hopeful, specific, philosophical, wise" (Kevin Rabas, Kansas Poet Laureate, 2017-2019), "magnificent and alarming" (Michael Poage), and "reimagining the small intimacies and disconnects that shape our lives" (Gretchen Cassel Eick).

Happy St. Pat’s! I’m a lucky lass. Today = 2 months from my book’s “official” publication, thanks to @anamcarapress.bsky.social Press (“anam cara” = Celtic “soul friend”) & pals. Thanks to faerie magic, actual books will exist sooner! And thanks to @watermarkbooks.bsky.social for my 4/30 event.

The only public restroom law I support would fine those who leave pee (or worse) on the seat (or beyond), don't flush, &/or don't wash their hands. (I could add additional courtesies to the list, but would settle for basic hygienic decency for starters.)

I’m actually glad my superpowers wouldn’t save me during a zombie apocalypse bc I wouldn’t want to live through one. (I mean a literal one, obvs. I get by during the current metaphorical one thanks to a little help from my friends & colleagues & family members who have brains & hearts & souls.)

In earth’s spacetime, Thanos’s snap
can take, say, one human year to pass:
each hour a fraction of subtraction,
each day a pound of flesh extracted,
communities crumbled, innocents killed.
Avengers: assemble, unite, and rebuild.
