Makes total sense now, knowing I grew up on this music (as young as 3 or 4 I believe). I think I absorbed the message by osmosis.

I was in the midst of health struggles I attribute to possible long COVID symptoms, and my job search was delayed a week to recover. This is Day 1 of officially applying to jobs as an accountability post. Due to my disability I'm only open to remote work. Manifesting it soon🤞 [fingers crossed emoji]

Oof. Haven't been on this app in a while. I was bright-eyed and bushy tailed, getting a job in Queer Trans Outreach for harm redux and COVID education for queer nightlife and community centers. I loved that job, but the contract was cut short due to Federal cuts to these type of programs. (Cont.)

a mask is the thing you’re looking for. it is the visible reminder of how things have changed, that you acknowledge we are not coveted “normal” times—but unlike donation-earned tote bags or symbolic beaded bracelets, the mask is community care in both form & immediate function.
