While Profe Hernández and students are hard at work preparing for our November recital, Dra. Vallejo had the pleasure of running a clinic at Victor Valley College’s second annual mariachi festival. Students and community mariachi performers brought their A game, and Dra.
Earlier this month, Dra. Vallejo performed for one of our own Bronco staff who will be missed. Carlos Martinez worked in CPP Enterprises (formerly CPP Foundation). Our hearts and sincerest condolences go out to the Martinez family.

📣 🙏🏽 Please help spread the word! Earlier this summer someone entered our storage space and stole a Salinas vihuela, a hard guitar case, and several moños. They also trashed our storage area from hiding and spilling paloma cocktails in a can.
The United Farm Workers, along with the entire labor movement, stands in strong solidarity with our comrade, labor leader David Huerta. We demand his immediate release and condemn indiscriminate sweeps targeting working class immigrants.
I don't care if these monstrous ICE raids are a "federal operation". This is authoritarian violence, plain and simple.
Just because Stephen Miller has kidnapping quotas for brown people he doesn't want to see on the street doesn't mean we have to think it's okay.

David sang and played guitar and violin with Los Broncos, and for his senior capstone project, he studied and presented on corridos. In his free time, he teaches guitar and helps lead the @da.center.for.the.arts mariachi youth group.
