All around, this seems like a foolish move, and the lines out the door each weekend in their tiny shop are likely what's getting them so much business and securing more sales.

If they move to a larger location, it's likely that less people will buy something because they can leave and come back whenever. The analog trend is also likely temporary. Rent will likely become too high for them to sustain business in the new store. People also won't want to commute there.

The local stationary store is moving out of the neighborhood to a bigger (likely more expensive) location so people won't need to wait in line to enter. I don't think they've considered that people feel more obligated to buy something if they've waited in line to enter and that analog is a trend.

And if you don't want to commit that long, you can mix it both in separate travel bottles rather than the full main bottles
