I started using InvenTree to track all the various parts and supplies I have for my hobbies. I really wanted to be able to just say "Add 2x D1 Mini ESP8266 boards to Purple 1." Now I can. Introducing an InvenTree MCP server. Please try it out and provide any feedback! github.com/syntaxerr66/...

We have these in my community and they're proven completely useless for actually stopping any crime, but I'm sure they're super useful for collecting data about everyone that lives here. Hopefully this will help rally the community to get rid of them.

But the really important question is: are people who approve of this being made to feel uncomfortable saying so?

Yesterday, I found this book in my daughter's room. Today, she picked a padlock. This is her first time picking locks. She's 9. I blame @deviantollam.bsky.social (who she now really wants to meet ❤️)

I have a colleague who is our SRE and wants to learn more infosec stuff. His expertise is in cloud and infrastructure engineering. He's looking for education and cert ideas that build on his current expertise. Does anyone have some suggestions (other than SANS lol)?

We don't need a hacker to do it. We do it on our own! 🤣

I have to wonder if they'll even whitelist their own code repos. Imagine losing a multi-million dollar 0-day because it's a "privilege escalation" or an RFI vuln because it says "inclusion" in the description. Aside from all the other obvious problems with their methodology....

Reminder for all my fellow neurospicy persons - Valentine's day is ONE WEEK from today! You still have time to contribute to the fake holiday and spend money on your partner!

"A pact with the devil" David de Jong on oligarchs getting in bed with fascists.

"In February 1933, Germany’s wealthiest industrialists, financiers, and CEOs were very explicitly promised by Hitler and Göring that these would be the last elections held for the next 10-100 years. They had no qualms getting out their checkbooks and signing over German democracy."

Some key bits of the article. He’s literally demanding an EU country, and NATO ally just cede land to him.

We really need age limits on the presidency. This isn't normal.

It's so much fun! My parents still have some of the things I made when I was a kid. Watch out for red glass. It's brittle as hell.

I've got my led strips hooked up to the stereo in my office to make it reactive with music for some cool lighting. The streaming box lost its configuration last night. I walked into my office to see this. I'm a little creeped out. If it starts telling me it can't let me do things, I'm unplugging it.

A group of men sit in front of a chart that incorrectly spells "military" as "miltary."

A group of men sit in front of a chart that incorrectly spells "military" as "miltary."

GOP members complaining about reduction of military standards while using a chart that misspells the word military!

It's not like they care anyway. As long as they get their fascism installed, they're fine with whatever happens, and anyone who says otherwise is a "woke libtard"

Nothing to worry about here, just a political purge of our national security apparatus that will replace long-serving experts with dimwitted bootlickers.

I'm sure our safety and security won't be impacted at all.

Shit, in Texas, you have to use a VPN to watch porn. Everything is either blocked or requires you to upload your identification. I can't wait until one of those sites gets hacked and we see all the right-wing nut jobs' porn searches and histories.

The prob is, most HR and hiring managers won't look past the first two pages. When I was hiring, anything above three pages was an auto no, only because I couldn't rely on them to be concise or figure out what their specialties were. Your resume should be edited to reflect the job you're seeking.

More Republican legislators arrested for bathroom miscond... More Republican lawmakers face bathroom misconduct arrest...

Transgender people are often the most at risk in bathrooms, and are at much higher risk of sexual assault and violence in bathrooms that do not match their gender identity. There have been more elected Republicans convicted of bathroom assaults' than trans people.

Ahh Texas. This is probably the only part of working downtown I miss. My first job in Texas gave me a perfect view of the Mixmaster in Dallas, and it was entertaining watching people with 4wd vehicles try to get up ramps covered in ice.
