fuck sam altman forever for taking away the last places where we could engage in good faith: the creative arts, which should be a testament to human ingenuity. i am so mad that everything i read or listen to or admire is now tainted with doubt. do you understand? he is a thief of joy and i HATE HIM
At this point it's quite obvious, the people in power don't care about intellectual property. It's not piracy, if we call it scraping. I have 0 inhibitions downloading the works of any corporation or creator that uses "AI". If it's legal to download and ingest, then it's legal to download.
I thought "use bylines without consent" had a shorter name.
🇪🇺🏳️🌈⚖️🇭🇺 A legal earthquake - CJEU finds Hungary to have violated EU law on multiple counts with its anti-LGBT+ legislation (as expected) but also for the first time in history, in an EU law-reshaping precedent, finds Hungary to violate Art 2 TEU in a self-standing manner.
The Dark Soul.
There are bad games where I can easily say to skip it in the series, like skip Wicher 2. There's no need for you to suffer through it. But I wouldn't say that about Dark Souls 2. I hate everything about Dark Souls 2, but I wouldn't want to deprive anyone the experience.
Is the flu fake, too, now?
Wait, people are mad that Endgame will be re-released with new footage? They already re-released Endgame with new footage once!
Especially when the OP is a joke about a fictional world. Like if someone said "wow, funny how Obi-Wan owned a droid in clone wars, did he lie about that?" and I went in with "there were no clone wars in the Star Wars universe."
I don't know what am I supposed to do when someone just straight up lies in the replies lol.
I know time and money are in short supply and I'd never tell anyone to waste either, but I recommend consuming "bad" media from time to time- especially games. Why? 1) you may actually dig it 2) it may help you better understand what makes "good" media 3) it's probably interesting in some way
If Warhammer Fantasy is set on a planet in WH40K, does that mean that the World of Warcraft is set on a planet in StarCraft?
Hungarian taxpayers paid American “post-liberal” Rod Dreher $105,000 last year to produce propaganda for Orban’s regime. www.jaccusepaper.co.uk/p/the-strang...
is this little anus of evil just going to be a permenant fixture of google docs now? Is there no way to get rid of it? thanks i hate it™
Is The Shadow Over Innsmouth the first example of the idea of "Nazi occultism"? I'm sure he included the swastika in the story because it was in the news around the time of the writing, so giving it some kind of occult power would be linked to its use by the Nazi Party.
That's not the Elder Sign, right? Was the Elder Sign the entire time the swastika? That can't be.
In some places they was little stones strewed abaout—like charms—with somethin' on 'em like what ye call a swastika naowadays. Prob'ly them was the Old Ones' signs.
Wait, in The Shadow Over Innsmouth the sign of the Old Ones (or Dagon, I guess) is the swastika???
Hey, thank you for hosting! 🤟❤️
OMG, I cannot believe that Frieren did what I was complaining about not long ago. She said: "Do as you like." She wasn't doing that "I know that deep in your heart you know what's the right thing to do", no. She didn't project what she wants like a main character, she stepped away like we would.
So, won't it undermine his lawsuit that he earlier stated online that he enjoys that this is spread about him?
Did they think marathon runs are about transportation?
When you use AI to do your writing, you are telling your audience: “I deserve your attention, but you do not deserve my effort.”
I'm so proud that my country is now an example to Americans. Might be the first time in history.
I think there's a problem where doing something w/o a machine is bad, but if I use a machine to do the same, it's okay. Crypto scams are legal somehow, "revenge porn" (terrible euphemism) needed an extra specific law, and now I'm not allowed to use other's IP in my competing product, but they do.
They have these things called cars.
So, what's going on with aqui and aquel in Spanish? They feel like opposites, but they're not, they're different types of words.
Is there an orienteering sport where the athletes mostly run, but the area has obstacles where they have to swim or boulder? Like, you can get from one point to the next by running to the bridge, but if you can swim, you can cross the river much faster. Or cut thru serpentine by climbing up a wall?
