either way, i would love to hug a gelatinous cube, because the gelatinous cube is intrinsically full of love and wants nothing more than to hug me back.

i also think about, when tiny, they could be roguishly sold along (and disguised as) regular bullion cubes to make stock and ruin the lives and businesses of so many. that's probably the kind of thing one of my ocs would pull, just to see what happens.

but i can easily imagine them grow. then part and multiply and restart the process all over.

they're the kind of creatures that scream "magical experiment gone awry". or gone just right, depending on who one asks. i cannot imagine gel cubes naturally forming, not even by accident, without external action.

i think about slimes and gel cubes a lot. 's all. i wonder what their life progression might be. i wonder if they are happy. they must start tiny and grow giant after dissolving many an adventurer and incorporating their fat and broken-down proteins into their wobbly, geometric bodies.

(would it be funnier? probably not. what would be funnier would be for them to immediately be surrounded and overwhelmed by slimes regardless of faith and affiliation, in my humble.)

(just a day like any other, before a miasma of acid gelatins of many shapes make them as clean as they never were.)

(would it hold deeper or stronger meaning, if the drow in question were of ghaunadaur and were already surrounded by jellies, puddings and cubes??)
