The fact that Mamdani keeps getting open layups like this really highlights the incompetence of the Adams admin
Zohran is basically Kramer taking a karate class whereas Adams is a series of scrawny 9-year-olds

RFK admits: that ain't libel
my favourite counter-example to this is Josh Towers. 1.5 bb/9 is even lower than Maddux's...but came with a 1.5 HR/9 and just 4.8 k/9
I'm picturing this ending with Trump floating down the Amazon on a raft, asking who wants to be part of his kingdom
one* every four
*that we know of
awesome to see Trump finally acknowledge the effects of climate change
Like they said the other day: seems the US managed to kill future leaders of Iran in addition to the Ayatollah
What a sad, horrible disgrace
Robin Hood was just trying to reverse overtaxation and make sure more money was given to the church
given all this, does seem clear that Ken Sim is just an extremely gullible person, yeah
In BC, an apology doesn't by itself count as an admission of fault or wrongdoing. But as soon as someone starts acknowledging specifics of what they did, then they can get themselves into trouble. This sounds like someone who's taking great pains to not get into any details of what happened.
this sounds a lot like the way people talk when their lawyers have told them that saying anything more will put them at risk of civil or criminal liability...
these guys are really trying to pick up the flag for every Lost Cause in history eh
FWIW, Doug's post-secondary consisted of two months of Humber College before dropping out

In that game,
- Phils led 3-1 when Castellanos was removed
- Castellanos' spot was up 7th in the 9th inning, so unlikely to bat again
- Removed for Johan Rojas, 24yo CF worth 1.8 dWAR/162 in his career (Nick was worth -1.7 dWAR last year)
- Castellanos had started all 72 of the Phils' 2025 games
National Review article excerpt. It reads: "On the other hand, when I hear some people accuse immigrants of destroying the American economy and culture and stealing jobs from American citizens, it stirs my anger, too. I can’t stand to hear immigrants described in terms more appropriate to a plague of locusts than human beings. And although I believe they are a small minority, I begin to wonder if some of the people who speak so disparagingly about immigrants would be just as worked up if most of them were coming from Canada."

Really fun group discussion over on Twitter about what “murder” actually is. Learning a lot!
Great minds think alike!
I think I've got it figured out: Stephen Miller has just been re-cutting the opening scene from Scarface, replacing Castro with various other Latin American leaders, and then circulating it around the WH
this would be true if you made people watch an ad to use your goldmine and the goldmine actually contained no gold
An (embarrassing) mastery of the passive voice, here.
I kind of like this whole “We won’t buy your liquor but we will air your state-suppressed news stories” niche that Canada’s apparently carved out.
Wait until customs finds out how many imported oranges he's delivered me over the years 😬
Canada's premiers keep attacking the courts. It might be good short-term politics for them, but it's doing long-term damage to institutions our democracy and freedoms depend on. #cdnpoli

Seriously, who actually wants this? What use is a bit of property tax savings if the city stops functioning properly?
as a total aside: did Elon walk into his local barbershop and say "give me the Christopher Walken"?
Juries keep the law alive to what real people think; they help to keep the courts from losing touch with that. Judges do pay attention to what juries decide and it informs their decisions. It's a vital piece of our common law system and we should hold on dearly to the right to a trial by jury.
