I don’t post much non-modelling related stuff on this account but this made me quite proud…Son and Grandsons on stage together making a racket in Leeds on Saturday. A TV on the Radio cover…

I was at my son’s doing some essential DIY for him (supposed to be putting up shelves). I looked to see these on the picture ledger - figures I did more than 50 years ago! French Imperial Guard. The Lancer is a Stadden “Standish” metal kit. The Chasseur is a Historex kit.

Interesting dark hull.

The Harry Pearson @camsell59.bsky.social book is wonderfully nostalgic. I think I'm just a little bit older but my experiences are similar and I met or certainly knew of the personalities he mentions in the book.

So yesterday me and The Lads (13 & 15) potted along to the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington to the museum’s first model show. Purchased were made…tanks: Panther and T34, and work building them started when we got home…

Off to Elvington shortly with The Lads to the YAM model show. The York modellers are set up ready (and have been since early this morning)

Not sure I would in 1/48 scale…perhaps a dollop of superglue to give an impression.

I’m with you. I’ve mastered figures and nobody notices the he bits that I’m really pleased with.

Valley Bowmen, Metham near Huddersfield. A lovely shooting ground (even though you shoot uphill)
I’ve did a bit of field archery with my longbow in the distant past.

We had an hour of do on the archery field this morning and my lovely lady was on fire: not only every arrow in the gold, every one’s within the 10 ring within the gold!

I may invest in a reissue.

Oh tell me about the age of the kit! I have 4 in the loft (with a similar number of Vosper MTBs), which to my shame I’ve not built (bearing in mind I make figures for them).
I’m using the hull of the RAF HSL to make a Motor Anti-Submarine Boat - but it’s not gone very far.

Great work with a challenging kit!
(I need to get my unmade kits out of the loft to do…)

And how do I paint my Epic scale figures? Just like painting any other scale: very slowly!

Oh, they were a frustration. Umpteen coats. And it’s umpteen years since I lasted painted something without a coat of Halfords grey primer.

Yes, Lidl purchase. I thought it was a starter kit but it’s labelled “Airfix Club”.
