My wife just handed me this cash and said “Here, go get yourself some Timbits.”
Girl what the hell are these?
Wasn’t really the point of the thread, so I’ll emphasize it more here: this place is fantastic. When I said “some of the best food” I mean like the game sausage was the best I’ve had in forever, the vegetables were all the best vegetables ever. If you can afford it go.
Absolutely incredible.
NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.
Watch with sound on.
Damn I knew I should’ve got those Ruffles. Lays are the only all dressed we have here.
We got Old Dutch. Never had any of their chips before so wasn’t sure what to expect. I was tempted to grab all dressed, but I’m like 75% sure the grocery stores here in WA sell the Lays ones.
First time trying ketchup chips. They’re…weird.
Anyway, there are a lot of thoughts and emotions. Overall good. Motivating even. And this started while in Vancouver with my wife, who is currently working towards her Canadian citizenship being recognized. It’s a lot, but again it’s good. I didn’t expect all this from a 1-day trip around the city.
It was sort of a mind-f because I had completely forgotten about all of that. And I started thinking about how much I’ve forgotten about growing up around him for so much of my life. And that made me think about how hard it is to find out about my family. It feels like it’s always just out of reach.
The food came out, I took a bite of this venison sausage, and got hit with a wave of nostalgia. It’s probably been 15 years since I had venison sausage (the last time my grandpa made it). I started thinking about my earliest memories of watching him make it when we lived in a rural town of ~500.
So we’re at the restaurant and the first thing that’s done after being seated is a First Nations land acknowledgement. We’re left with this laminated document detailing what that means and the history of it, and it never left the table. The music in the restaurant is by indigenous artists.
I don’t know that I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ve been trying to learn more about my native family. My grandpa was native, as was his mother (he had a white dad). My great grandmother used to take care of me as a baby. I have no memory of her, and my grandpa closed off his native side.

Went to Salmon n’ Bannock (only indigenous restaurant in Vancouver) to cap off my first ever visit, and I’ll never forget it. First things first: great restaurant, best wait staff ever, some of the best food I’ve ever had.
The reason I mention it is because of what it brought up in me.
She forgot the most important thing (not really)
The Peace Arch Park sign at the Washington/BC border.
Beach view of the Burrard Inlet and West Vancouver. There are ships in the water, and mountains in the background.
Tim Hortons bag
Seagull staring at me at the beach
Out of the States for the day. 🙌
Ok so those plans changed awhile ago but we’re spending the day up in BC so I’m getting my Timmies for the first time in forever.
I can’t stress enough how annoying it was to live in the Midwest, have the only Tim Hortons in like 1,000 miles of where lived, and then not have it within the year.
Last 4 movies I’ve watched (from left to right), including ratings. Battleship (2 out of 5) Joy Ride (3.5 out of 5) Locke (3 out of 5) Desperado (3 out of 5)
You can probably predict what happens in Battleship and Desperado.
No shot you can predict what happens in Joy Ride and Locke.

Seattle Storm fans, I’m a new fan. Any good resources (podcast, YT channels, etc.)?
OMG she’s adorable!!!
@blessingjr.bsky.social Thank you for today’s KFGD conversation about KCD2. Conversations like that need to be happening more everywhere. No one likes being in the shit, but I’m queer so I’m in it whether I like it or not. Thank you for amplifying that sentiment for more people. I hope they hear it.
Turning away from this bullshit is a privilege that a lot of people don’t have. If you’re privileged in that way get your ass in the mud so people like me aren’t outnumbered.
40:16 to 52:23 is a must listen. This stuff matters, and conversations absolutely should be happening. I need straight white guys to understand what Bless is saying here. It’s important.
The thing about rolling in the mud making you dirty is that marginalized people are already in the shit.
WARNING: BLOODBORNE HOT TAKE FROM JANET INCOMING
How many more times does some ignorant shit need to come out of this studio before people stop gassing up their games?
I bring a sort of Forbidden Vibe to InternalServerError that Rate Limit Exceeded don't really like
trying to post through it rn
Flau’jae Johnson wearing her black dress WNBA Draft fit and a gold Seattle Storm hat with a green bill and a Storm logo that sparkles. She’s standing in front of a black backdrop and looking down with her face somewhat obscured by shadow.
Pics that go hard 🌩️🏀
Witnessing the Seattle Storm do an honest-to-goodness rebuild feels otherworldly to me. I just watched the Sky trade away a generational player for nothing but downside. It’s a tale as old as time with Chicago sports, especially in basketball. Heaven forbid you try to win!
