I can’t possibly compete with a sailing metaphor so just click on the link and get yourselves a fresh batch of tunes.

You’re clearly missing Untamed Heart.
I mean, Marissa Tormei and an orphan with a baboon heart? Instant classic.
Nice that he caught up with the rest of us in figuring out he wasn’t.
2026 energy, to be sure. Brilliant.
Frank and Bride, WIP 2026.

They really do seem to like the taste of crow, don’t they?
Top tier satire, right here. Sadly, the actual government doesn’t have this much self awareness.
But hey, he just quietly bought himself a private jet, so…there’s that.
HANDS Productions and Ant-Zen have both been crushing it over the last couple of years with releases right in their wheelhouse and stuff that pushes their respective envelopes a bit. Worth celebrating labels that've been in it for so long yet still feel vital and hungry now and then.
I love that despite all the naysayers and bellyaching, not only does he follow through but his plans are actually working and making life better.
Congratulations!
I was thinking about complaining about how wacky Bluesky is acting today, but as everything else is fucked, I suppose Bluesky ought to be also, if only for consistency's sake.
Two VERY different records are take up and discussed on this week's WHaT. I'm not fussy about the first's aims and sound, but the second I'll be sure to seek out as it has markers of things I'm decidedly more into. Listen in.
LA act Divider's approaches to EBM remain deceptively complex as ever on their new record.

Bareback pug riding is a highly specialized field.
Edmonton's VERTTIGO hit the middle ground between dreampop and post-punk on their debut LP.

He can’t enjoy his life outside of politics? Is that it?
As I recover from an abnormally late Sunday evening full of shenanigans, @idieyoudie.bsky.social’s Tracks Post arrives; that fresh cup of strong black coffee slapping the sleep from my face every Monday morning.
I have no idea and am without pithy ideas for fake band names.
Can't win every game...
I saw and briefly chatted with Mecha Maiko’s Hayley Stewart when they opened for Priest of all bands back in 2023. Fantastic then and no different now.
They do have a connection to the scene in having at one point been a vocalist for synthwave/darkwave act Dead Astronauts.
I have the same thing going on with Untamed Heart. Christian Slater has a baboon heart and just wants to be loved!
Usually avoid it as I don’t think any discussion will or can be made in good faith. I will make an exception if it’s actually harmful to others. That can’t be tolerated.
A really cool chat with Health is certainly something you should be checking out. Get on it.
Between this and the recent Star article, you're on quite a roll and wow, do we need it.
A bracing and full-bodied blast of maximalist darkwave from Chile's Diavol Strâin makes a strong early bid for darkwave record of the year.
Having exhausted all food analogies to suggest taking up a new batch of Monday tracks collated by the distinguished gentlemen @idieyoudie.bsky.social, may I instead humbly suggest that you do so?
Hmm...maybe "good eating"? Nope, that's terrible.
In any event, ignore me & check it out anyway.
Tolstoy was a struggle for me until I got the Pevear and Volokhonsky translations. I'm not sure why, but their work was when it clicked.
I know you're playing the game which I played and loved when it came out but please go listen to Rain of Brass Petals (Three Voices Edit) by Akira Yamaoka and Interlace, done for the soundtrack. It's amazing.
Be sure to check out this week’s WHaT; offering up the venerated two album discussion format.
The Neon Judgement has always been a songs not albums band for me. On the other hand, I love that Witch of the Vale release something fierce.
