The whole purpose of doing an audit is to do an examination and see if there’s any there there. If it turns out there’s no issue, there’s no issue.

The people of Orange County deserve transparency, accountability and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. For years, serious concerns have been raised about the Board’s governance, litigation practices and policy decisions.
At a time when confidence in our democratic process is critical, I couldn’t agree more: we must ensure every vote is secure, accurately counted, and reflective of the will of the people.
Support continues to grow for SB 884. Grateful to Treasurer Fiona Ma for her endorsement and for underscoring what’s at stake — protecting the integrity of our elections and maintaining public trust in the process.

Thank you to the entire team for your incredible work fighting food insecurity and supporting our communities every day.
Thank you to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County for hosting Team Umberg and giving us the opportunity to see firsthand the growing need across our region. In our district alone, they have distributed over 17.6 million pounds of food and served more than 2.7 million people in 2025.
This project will bring thousands of good-paying union jobs to our community and help make Orange County a premier destination for years to come; grateful to the Anaheim Ducks, Samueli Foundation, and City of Anaheim for their partnership.
Great to be part of the groundbreaking for the $1 billion renovation of Honda Center—a major milestone in the $5 billion OCVibe project.
Proud to have the support of the California Federation of Labor Unions, AFL-CIO for SB 884.
They understand what’s at stake — preventing intimidation and ensuring every Californian's right to participate freely and safely in our elections.
California voters deserve to cast their ballots safely, freely and without fear. SB 884 is about protecting our elections from intimidation and interference — plain and simple.
No one should have to endure what she describes, and her strength in speaking out reflects a profound commitment to something greater than herself. We owe her our immense respect, our support at this time, and a shared commitment to justice and accountability.

My heart goes out to my friend and civil rights champion Dolores Huerta. I am deeply concerned and troubled by her account and the experiences she has shared.
Thank you @reproforallca for your partnership in defending reproductive freedom.
Honored to be recognized by Reproductive for All California as a Reproductive Freedom Champion on their 2025 Legislative Scorecard. Protecting the right of every person to decide if and when to raise a family will always be worth fighting for.
That kind of presence intimidates voters and will cause people to walk away from the polls out of concern for their own safety. In California, we will not allow that.
Let’s be clear: the idea that large numbers of undocumented individuals are voting is simply not true. What is real is the fear created when masked ICE agents show up near polling places.
Thanks to KTLA News and Eytan Wallace for covering this. Senator Cervantes and I are committed to protecting our polling places and making sure every voter can cast a ballot without intimidation.
Clearly, the purpose of putting ICE in or around polling places is to intimidate voters. This is not new to me. We’ve seen tactics like this before, and it will not be tolerated in California. We will protect our voters and stop voter suppression.

No kings here! SB 46 upholds the Constitution and protects our democracy by ensuring only eligible presidential candidates appear on California’s ballot—because no one is above the Constitution.

As A.I. becomes more common in the legal system, we need clear guardrails to protect clients’ confidentiality and ensure that real people, not algorithms, are making legal decisions. SB 574 does exactly that by setting responsible rules for the use of A.I. by attorneys and arbitrators.
