Sorry, its a long thread and a long rant. It just drives me crazy how disrespectful it is. I think if someone ever got hurt over my creations, I wouldn't be able to cope. Even if it made me millions. Its so unfair to creators.

So yeah. I don't blame Gooseworx for a blinding flashlight defense trick. Because putting your stuff, OCs, Story, whqtever out there feels like a dream, until you have to wrestle with the the nightmare that is over zealous fans.

One of the saddest and scariest things is watching people get so engrossed in content, so rabid for it, that they hurt or even kill eachother. Stabbed for sauce. Bullied to suicide for a ship. Poisoned. Its *terrifying*

Its one thing if you don't agree. You can make fan projects or rewrites! But at the end of the day, Digital Circus, Undertale, etc. Are NOT yours. The creators aren't the fans puppets, they have agency!

The whole "Jax and Pomni are the main characters" drama is exactly that. It was the fans telling the creator that her own vision on her own product was incorrect. That sucks! A lot!

It's true, once you put the content out there, it sort of stops belonging to you. Sure you might call the shots on the characters/writing/story, but you are simultaneously divorced from your project.

Seeing Gooseworx trying to cope with her fans is exactly the reason I can't commit to making content of any kind.
