For some reason, NASA‘s „cosmic sea slug“ in the Trifid Nebula (Messier 20) looks to me more like a unicorn (or unicorn with wings) rather than a sea slug.

For me it’s hard to imagine how the situation was back then, as I wasn‘t born then.
But I agree, I think it also depends on the movie-taste a person has. Maybe people recognize that Stallone portrays Rocky, but might not know that his characters wife was called Adrian.

I watched Project Hail Mary with a friend and she‘s in her 50s. She has never seen a Rocky movie and thus didn‘t get the reference either.
I actually never watched a full Rocky movie myself, but my mom always watches them when they‘re aired in TV here. That‘s where my knowledge comes from 😂

I‘m surprised by how many people did not get the reference in the movie Project Hail Mary, where Ryland Grace called Rockys mate Adrian.
Adrian is the name of Rocky Balboas wife in the movie series Rocky.
There was even a scrne where Rocky and Ryland watched a scene from a movie.

I went to the cinema and watched Project Hail Mary today. I really loved it! Now I can finally listen to the soundtrack without spoilering the experience!
Also Rocky is cute! I never thought I would feel so many emotions for a rock-spider-thing from space.

Another little concept created for "Mufasa: The Lion King", the "I Always Wanted A Brother" sequence. Originally, this part featured an adult Mufasa, later it was rewritten with a cub version.

We sure came a long way.

I watched Ghostbusters (1984) again. I‘ve only ever seen it once when I was a kid. The intro theme still is fire !

I‘m not really that much into cars, but I really love US oldtimer limousines. The 1990ies Cadillacs were awesome too, I love to see them in movies.

But wow is the organization chaotic! 😂 I have to get used to that !

I‘m doing a student semester research project at my university. I have the possibility to do a really interesting and cool project 😊 My supervisors are really kind and brilliant people. I think I can benefit a lot from their knowledge and learn a lot from this project in general.

For context: In some subjects you have the duty to attend. Professors will check if you‘re there by checking the list with the photo and name of the studente (used to register the student card). Classes are usually rather small.
