I always wanted to write a time travel adventure novel, I can only hope people enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

That's my thought - it'll be a tough task but not as tough as being down 19 to Duke.
Really good film!
photo showing the rescuers saving the dog, next to the statue commemorating them
closeup on the base of the statue, showing a dog and a man in a ball cap
the top of the statue, where the person at the top of the slope has his hand outstretched so the viewer can "help" pull him up
in 2016 a group of strangers in Kazakhstan saved a dog from drowning by forming a human chain to reach him. they just unveiled a statue commemorating the event and I'm genuinely about to start sobbing
A viral dog rescue from 2016 is now immortalized with a statue in Kazakhstan. When a dog fell into the Sayran reservoir, bystanders formed a human chain to pull him to safety. The statue is a reminder of the value of unity, solidarity and collective action. 14/10 for all
Great read! I did not realize the Tatum Superman commercial got pulled after the injury, that's a sad detail.
Congratulations to Marian University Flag Football on their first win of the season!!!
Amazing work tonight by both teams. Raiders add Crosby to a young core and the Ravens add two firsts to build around Lamar!
From a writing teacher, about editing: "Editing someone's writing is like editing their soul." Really made me think about how I offer feedback and critiques in a different light.
Zach Lowe came up with the solution for tanking 20 years ago when he proposed the Wheel (every teams draft pick being assigned in advance such that over a 30 year cycle every team gets the top pick once, the second pick once, and so on)
After this season (and particularly the postseason), that's something he's earned and something the Pats should be fine paying him (ideally before Witherspoon). Realistically every new top CB contract for a while will be resetting the market.
Not only should fans basically trust Vrabel by default after this season, it stands to reason that a rookie tackle will develop and get better with his first full off-season.
No rookie tackle has ever been asked go up against 4+ of the top 10 DEs across four straight playoff games. It was tough out there for him but it stands to reason he'll grow and improve, especially given his solid performance in the regular season.
Call me crazy but I think Efton Chism III will earn a lot more meaningful snaps next year.
Sad to see the season end on this note but you've got to say the Patriots rebuilding year went pretty well overall
21-17 New England tonight. Drake Maye has the big postseason game we've been waiting for.
Amazing news!
In September, #Patriots DC Terrell Williams was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had already spread to his collarbone when doctors found it.
But today, he's cancer free. Read: www.bostonherald.com/2026/01/30/e...
I think anyone who watched the Patriots playoff games will note that Maye played 3 of the top 6 defenses in the NFL and two of those games were in freezing rain or a swirling snowstorm.
People will be shocked when Maye plays well against Seattle in Santa Clara, but they shouldn't.
I assume the 2025-26 New England Patriots are the 17th best team of all time, just off screen.
McDaniels doing his best overall but man, considering they hit a deep pass earlier that drive? Brutal.
If you take a 4 win team and turn it into a 14 win team while having a whopping 2 pro bowlers on the roster, you're the coach of the year.
Celtics have been extremely good when it comes to developing young guys (something that was a big concern a few years ago when the idea was that no young guy would ever get to play on a talented, deep roster)
First half timeouts are whatever, but second half timeouts are enormously valuable as shown here.
He's right but they need to run with Chubb, not Marks.
I hope y'all discuss the difference in the weapons each QB had. Feels like most conversations blow past that but imo it's an important component of what makes a player (and a QB specifically) valuable.
Tonga 100%? That's huge.
I would've liked to see the Steelers try more deep shots. Feels like several were just barely incomplete and any one of them would've changed the game - something Drake Maye will be looking at for sure
No one in NFL history has ever traded up to take a corner at #2. Jags might make him primarily a CB but they'd be admitting they made a mistake trading up for him if they do so.
Guaranteed rest advantage against the Steelers or Texans will be nice.
