UK TV has been creating trash on this level for at least the last thirty years now. At least.
These kind of ghastly shows come and go so quickly, everyone forgets and is newly aghast when they cycle back into existence a decade or two later.
The trick is to ignore them ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

Based on cave-dwelling organisms, they have gone pale and started using echolocation before they got naturally bushier beards.
Plus they'd need to have been digging for several million years rather than the few thousand this guy's imagining. Evolution happens sloooooooowly
Magnificent ๐
Sorry, you're right - got confused with proscriptivism ๐
On top of this, why are non-Christian uses of a Christian symbol less important than the Christian uses, especially if they're more widespread?
I'm not a Catholic, so why should I be bound to use symbols their way? Should I be forbidden from doing so? Should art always kneel before history?
I've never understood descriptivism. It's like looking at a map of Pangea and saying the UK shouldn't exist.
Use determines meaning. The academic recognises this, catalogues and archives histories, then accurately describe changes.
Especially so with symbols, all of which are, by nature, metaphors
Oh, of course. It's not obscure *if* you're a Catholic.
But you shouldn't be too surprised that a symbol which has featured prominently in many cheap Hollywood horror films and similar stuff is more widely recognisable as a symbol of evil than of the Vatican.
Again, usage defines meaning
Unfortunately, use determines meaning. Consider the swastika - it's not a symbol of peace any more, nor will it ever be. The meaning of the inverted cross has changed now. Symbols are just language, and language is constantly in charge. It's just life ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

I'd say there's a trick to it, but there isn't. You just need a good brush, solid brush control and to take your time.
It's a nightmare ๐
One of the greatest TV series of all time ๐
That shoulder mounted plasma cannon is superb ๐
They honestly do some lovely paints ๐๐
A picture of a Space Marine Praetor in Saturnine Armour. They are painted in the gunmetal livery of the Iron Warriors, and are equipped with a plasma blaster and a thunder hammer of frankly absurd size.

Continuum did it very well, so it can be done.
The trouble is and will always be that scum will always look at the horror and go "Yeah, that's great". Kind of like you can't make an anti-war film if it includes depictions of war. Soldiers will always find representations of soldiers inspirational
A picture of a Space Marine Deathwatch Watch Sergeant. She is painted in the black livery of the Deathwatch, equipped with a power sword and plasma pistol, and bears a Space Wolves armourial on her right pauldron.

Ain't that the truth...
These are excellent. The marshstrider is particularly brilliant ๐๐
Honestly, I think Adventure Time more than D&D.
They did a *great* job of building up The Lich as a genuinely effective villain

Our gay vignettes are a big hit, they make lovely gifts for others as well as yourselves, they've even been used as wedding cake toppers and well, they're just lovely. Hand sculpted & hand cast in the UK. Queer woman owned company!

It's absolutely shocking. Xenophobia has always been Britain's most disgusting vice ๐
