I don't know of anyone, though I was trying to remember who did the Match-up Monday and promotional poster graphic design work. Were they in-house or contract?

I believe AEW is splitting with PWT but the info I have seen (from the artists affected) is that AEW is taking all designs "in-house" now, and thusly ended the contract employment with the merch design team.

JCP clarified it was an AEW decision, not a PWT decision.

Signed. As someone who doesn't enjoy a lot of the traditional "wrestling" looks, I was so happy we were starting to get more unique designs, like that pastel Hangman shirt. The talent is diverse, and so is the fanbase! We need a variety of designs.

If he was a friend, I would hope he would push back against his friend's art getting shoved into an AI slop generator. 😐

I heard that after D*nhausen jumped ship, the fed put a design of his (from an artist) into AI and then printed it on the blimp (but I have him muted so I probably missed all of the discussion). This is just a bad look all around.

We may start seeing a lot more talent open up their own online merch stores this year...

Part of why this is so devastating us I worry it's going to go to a "streamlined" style, but it was so lovely to have merch from multiple people specifically IN different styles. The last thing I want is for all the designs to look "uniform."

This. I don't like my merch to look like typical "wrestling" merch and I love so much of what the team had been creating these past few years. 😥

This is literally the dumbest move? These were the people making GOOD DESIGNS and they had a fanbase following here that only helped all that??? I am.... BOGGLED by this. And I hope it doesn't mean what many of us probably think it does (AI).

It honestly would be smart - people creating for sheer love of the game, reacting in real time to which stories most grab them. You can't find a more involved and invested subsection of the fanbase, imo. 🔥🔥🔥

I always say the company needs to have somebody on both AO3 and Tumblr to see what storylines are resonating with the weirdos (affectionate). 🤣🤣🤣
