I’m bringing some new little surprises along to the Faerie & Fantasy Faire this weekend. Have you ever just needed….a pocket squonk? Allow me to introduce “Oliver the Squonk”, now in handy, smol, squishable form! There are more pocket monsters to come…

Welph, I’m back at’er- trying to catch up on internet-based artist stuff after months of finding online existence just…..*shudder*….
So yes- back in person, and with a few new goodies to share 💛

I couldn’t get through that film for love of money but…. This is definitely the best description of whatever the heck the art director went with here. 😆🫡

I figured it was time for a “proof of life” check in. I had an afternoon off from the attention-demanding furry kitchen demon (pictured here wondering why I’d be doing anything with my time other than playing in the yard), so I checked into an old favourite of mine- Drip Coffee in Nanaimo.

Got mine yesterday, and started into it straight away. ✊🏻

It’s been a weird couple of days, so…yeah. Some pain management, some commission work, more pain management, and…. a new idea?

Should have seen this sooner, but I’ve been dragging myself numbly though the chaos. Hope I can help a bit- stay warm. Stay salty.

As if the “hitting the child-like robot thing with a sledgehammer” wasn’t weirdly upsetting enough, that boneless-ass kip-up the damn thing immediately did nearly made me throw my phone across the room! 😱

Those uppercuts weren’t telegraphed- they came by pony express. I guess “lounging in an easy chair while making sure the bro-cast camera has a clear shot of your smirking face at all times” doesn’t quite prep you for keeping up a proper guard, huh?

Plenty of silver linings of course, but…just not really feeling them right now. Go hug your pets, y’all.
Unless you have, like, fish, or tarantulas, or something. Those ones you can just give a high five to or something?

Ever have just…one of those months? I’m pulling through week FIVE of a respiratory infection that decided to go hardcore sinusitis (complete with ocular nerve impingement and crippling pain), and now my poor house coyote has had to get dental surgery when we’d expected a totally normal checkup. 😒

It’s my last event of the year- good ol’ Nanaimo ArtWalk! I’ll be haunting the atrium of the Harbourfront Library once again, along with a couple of other fantastic artists, this Saturday and Sunday.
And I have a new illustration from my “Tales From Ænim” to showcase!

Hot on the heels of the Victoria Halloween Markets, comes the Haunted Holiday Market, back on my home turf in Nanaimo!
Hoping to have a couple more “felt mini squonks” along for the ride this time too, so there’s another excuse for you to swing by and say hello! 😉

All set up in my little nook at the Halloween YYJ show in Victoria! Had a little time yesterday to show Oliver the Squonk around town, between downpours, and sweetened the deal with matcha and ganache.
Today’s day two- last chance to come say hi before we vanish back home….
