Part of the problem is that anyone in dear leader’s orbit looks a genius in comparison
Taking a moment to be grateful I live in a state where it’s recreationally legal even though they tried to trick people into banning it again 🍀 🖖
Edgelords. You see, everyone else got it wrong. The baddies are actually justified and right about everything. See: Patrick Bateman, Tyler Durden, The Joker, Walter White, Homelander etc. If there’s a malevolent white man in media, you can bet he’s a hero to these ghouls.

Hi, are you a real person?
Hey, sorry to be so blunt, but are you an actual person? Your replies seem to suggest so but your stock photo avatar suggests otherwise

Oil on canvas, 2022.
Yes. The next generation movie ‘First Contact’ does a good job of explaining it and is just a fun movie even for non-ST fans with an amazing soundtrack and great cast, highly recommended for a uplifting, optimistic outlook on humanity 🙌
Some of the newer shows/movies visualize the bubble well which might help in grasping.
In the ST lore, we discover warp drive in about 37 years (in 2063). Who knows! 🖖
Oh believe me, mine too. I’ve just been reading about it for a while because I’m a huge Star Trek fan lol
The trick is the bubble around the ship moves, not the ship itself. It remains stationary in the ‘warp bubble’. This is how it avoids breaking the laws of physics.
It’s obviously theoretical but it is based on actual math. The main problem is the absolutely ridiculous amounts of energy required.
Another way to understand it is: the warp drive creates a ‘bubble’ around the ship, and then compresses space in front of the bubble, and expands it behind. Almost like a zipper.
The key part is that the ship isn’t technically moving, the space around it is.
Neptune and back in six minutes
What other solution is there? Even though I believe it’s one of the lower rated episodes in season one, it’s kind of perfectly x-files
“It’s become clear to this administration that NASA has been shirking their duty to provide robust communications and life support functions on their manned missions. I am herby REVOKING 25% more funding until they GET THEIR ACT together. Thank you for your attention on this matter”
“Their refusal to act is sure to ignite further fury as the Democratic Party still manages to garner worse approval ratings than Republicans due to widespread views that the party is weak and ineffective.”
Anyone know what kind of pen this is?
It really is such good writing. The end of season 2 had me bawling.

Sounds like a perfect spot for an impromptu Juneteenth celebration
Welp, this is the best post I’ve seen all day 👏
