I have today off due to an in-service day at the school I work at. Funny enough, my husband has to work all day, which doesn’t happen that often, so I kind of have the house to myself. So I made myself a cup of tea and watching a cooking video and miraculously my older boy cat is sitting on my lap.
The plus of being the oldest person for trivia night is that I was there for a lot of it.

I grew up with Pratchett, LeGuin,Tolkien and Sanderson as a kid and never understood the hype around HP (I read the 1st book as a kid and it was crap) I can only say YES ! There are so much fantasy and magical series with better writing and which don't finance bigotry and racism.

“Zenobia” on museum wall.
I just finished writing a story about a woman named Zenobia. She lived in Pittsburgh & was a civil rights force of nature who lived up to the historical woman for whom she was named. Another Zenobia was inscribed on a wall in Cincy’s Underground Railroad Museum.
PS… I was out with friends this evening, and I saw this woman who was the absolute definition of style and I went and told her and then I told her dining companion that he was in the presence of an absolutely amazing woman and then just walked away. Let's do more of that for each other.
