Thank you!
So great to hear @thekylefellows.bsky.social and @andrewmertig.bsky.social on the Pack a Day pod this morning! Must officially be daft season. #gopackgo 🧀🏈
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate that analysis of what needs fixing. From your time writing about the Colts that season, what do you recall his best traits being? Maybe a subject for a P-A-D episode if this materializes.
Did some more reading and looks like about 1/2 of the 2026 cap hit is prorated signing bonus, so that makes this more appealing to the acquiring team. So maybe 🤷♂️
Too expensive if what I’m reading is right. $10M cap hit and expensive QB 5th year option of $20M+. Can’t see this happening unless there is a way to renegotiate the rookie deal for a couple cheap years of team control, but why would he do that?
Learned yesterday, anyone can submit a nomination to the PFHOF….

In solidarity with today's ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA blackout, MinnMax is donating $1 to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for every share of this Bluesky post for the next hour.
For a team with no 1sts the next 2 years, might be an enticing way to go. I am personally hoping they meet in the middle at a 3 year extension (4 years total). Gives him a chance to prove himself with this roster and brings him to 10 total years before the lame duck year.
Not exactly. New HC contracts are typically 5 years, but extensions are not. For example, the most recent Tomlin and Harbaugh extension a were 3. Someone like Reid (multi SB winner) got a 5 year extension. So again, I’m hoping for a $15M 3 year extension. Seems reasonable for non SB winning HC.
Important to remember he is still under contract. If he goes to another team, that would come with compensation (e.g. draft picks. Valuable for a team with no firsts the next 2 years. While not ideal, he could also coach on the last year. Personally hoping for them to meet in the middle at 3 years.
Do we think Lafleur earned a 5 year extension?
I think he’s a UFA not a RFA, so I don’t think that’s an option.
It’s beautiful! #thebearsstillsuck
