Not every transgender person is in a safe enough position to be out as themself or to speak out against transphobia in their daily lives. This is why it’s so important for our cisgender allies to speak out against transphobia and to support the trans community in any way that they can.
Basic rights are being stripped away, our existence is deemed political, us simply existing is considered explicit, we’re portrayed as dangerous and a threat to others. In reality, we’re just people that want to live our lives as our true selfs.
