Did you know that 83% of young Brits want to rejoin the EU. We need closer ties with the EU; not just in the here and now, but for younger generations that will be our future. Young people are choosing mutual cooperation, and their future is with the EU.

Our goal is 20,000 followers by the end of the month; we restart our campaign to build nationally on March 1st, to create an opposition with a difference, to be a more pragmatic, sensible and ethical opposition; one that uses accountability, but also mutual cooperation to help shape policy.

STATEMENT
The role of opposition is intended to hold the government to account, scrutinize legislation, and present alternative policies to the electorate, it is also within its remit to offer support in times of crisis or in the national interest.

While currently not a parliamentary party, The United Party stands in support of the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. We might not see eye to eye with the prime minister or the Labour government on certain issues, but on ensuring stability for our nations we support them, because that's what a good opposition should do; hold to account where required but lend support also for the good of our nations.

The crisis at hand is our democracy is under threat from those seeking to destabilise its conventions, the fabric of British politics; the PM and this government should see out their first term without interference. That's our democratic system, and it is right to support those conventions in our national interest.

Leader of The United Party, 9 February 2026

We stand with the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer; opposition can and should act in the national interest and that includes lending support to government to maintain stability, and not give way to uncertainty and disarray where preceding governments have capitulated to. Our official statement.

3. Community
To create social progress takes more than policy, we have to create and maintain spaces for communities to thrive. Community centres that engage, parks that are welcoming and bright, venues that can bring people together over sports, activities, even conviviality for social progress.

2. Rejoin the EU
Our greatest strength is our ability to work together, that much is certain. There are so many problems that our nations and other states have in common; multilateralism, mutual cooperation and mutual understanding can be the vehicles for social change and a better tomorrow.

Our account on Threads, Instagram, Bluesky and Substack are all safe spaces for everyone, for positive political discussion. The comments sections are moderated to ensure they remain a safe space. It is important that we are all able to have civilised discourse, whether we agree or disagree.

1. Solving poverty
It should always be the first priority of government through the door. When charities have written extensive papers over the last decade on how to solve poverty, it’s time to start listening. It should be a local and national mission to solve poverty, leaving no one behind.

We greatly need political reform to ensure politicians are local to their constituents, actually attend to their constituents not swanning off to the racecourse on a work day, that their other jobs are not affecting attendance in Parliament or their ability to hold surgeries,

All defeatist attitudes do is maintain the status quo. Not interested in narratives of what can’t be done, I’m interested in the narratives of what can be done. I loathe those trying to get a ‘gotcha’ out of those actually trying to help and find solutions. It’s not constructive or kind.

No aid to Gaza in nearly three months and now Israel have only allowed a limited number of food supplies in; five trucks. This is playing with people’s lives, it is conscious cruelty devoid of humanity.

This cannot carry on, we're witnessing a humanitarian crisis spiral out of control in real time; genocide. The message to governments should be loud and clear; stop arming Israel, impose sanctions, start applying the pressure for an immediate ceasefire and to fully release the aid blockade! #Gaza

Be you, be proud.
We're committed to mutual respect and individual liberty, we are all unique and that should be recognised no matter who we are; whether through respect, celebrating differences, valuing differences, or behaving with tolerance, for a better today, and a better tomorrow.

As we honour the lives of those who fought for our freedoms, by land, sea and air; service men and women, auxiliaries and volunteers, who made sacrifices for our future, let us be grateful as we continue to chart our journey for peace.

Pope Francis will be remembered as the ‘The People’s Pope’, his smile of joy was synonymous with his vigour for hope, for compassion, peace, equality and social justice.

On these days of reflection and renewal, he is a reminder that one candle can light the world.

The U.S. should be seen and condemned as a rogue nation for their evil and callous abuse of power of a government communication platform. Today my statement of condemnation against The White House and their sickening social media post. America’s never ending fall from grace continues.

That’s several times more than the amount those damaging welfare cuts would save!

NB: the red line for those crossing in boats at this scale was almost invisible. It’s high time we called out Farage on his inhumane dog whistling.

Immigration is not the problem in the U.K., wealth inequality IS. Here are some facts 👇🏻

A wealth tax won’t completely address the problem, but it’s a start. A mere additional 2% wealth tax on those with £10 million or more, would bring in additional £24 billion.

That’s exactly it. I’m not bothered by follower numbers, but a platform should provide sufficient opportunity for conversation, discussion, discourse but also the opportunity to drive those topics and reach a healthy number of people.

This will unlikely reach many people here but considering going back to Threads as the reach here is abysmal and I can do more good politically if I have the reach that connects with thousands, and sadly that’s just not happening here.
