Those vents laid the ultramafic structures that would, in 1812, be discovered as America's first chromite mine.

It was a good trip.

Trip was a success. Lots of ammonites, belemnites, bivalves, and a possible pterodactyl bone. Plus more of the mystery black shale texture.
