While many find aspects of JS odd. It's clearly very well defined oddness.
Great spec. Great tests. Multiple OS implementations.
This is why it's such a great language!

Bailey Pumfleet @pumfleet (1h ago) post in X: Open source is dead. That’s not a statement we ever thought we’d make. @calcom was built on open source. It shaped our product, our community, and our growth. But the world has changed faster than our principles could keep up. AI has fundamentally altered the security landscape. What once required time, expertise, and intent can now be automated at scale. Code is no longer just read. It is scanned, mapped, and exploited. Near zero cost. In that world, transparency becomes exposure. Especially at scale. After a lot of deliberation, we’ve made the decision to close the core @calcom codebase.
So we're back to security through obscurity? Sorry, but this is wrong. Our OSS apps and libs will be more secure thanks to the new models, not less. They are being released to researchers responsibly. Let's help maintainers avoid burnout. Let's fund them. Let's welcome more eyes checking our code.

Games like darts, billiards, bowling and chess completely give away what's going on.
The ONLY reason to segregate these sports by sex in the first place is because men cannot emotionally handle losing to women.
The ONLY reason to lock out trans people is bigotry.

The DRA, which governs the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), said "only biological females should be eligible to compete in women's tournaments regulated by DRA Rules". It comes after the DRA completed a review of its Trans and Gender Diverse Policy, which began in 2025. Noa-Lynn van Leuven, who in 2024 became the first transgender woman to compete in the PDC World Championship, said the decision had "effectively retired her". She remains eligible to play in open tournaments for men and women. "The Darts Regulation Authority followed the lead of the old, unfair IOC [International Olympic Committee] policy, so it's great to see this rapid return to fairness for women players." The DRA said it "seeks to be inclusive" and it encouraged "all players- irrespective of their biological sex, legal sex, and/or gender identity" to continue competing in open tournaments. It said its decision is based on legal advice and a commissioned report by Dr Emma Hilton - an academic developmental biologist who has published several papers on sex and categories in sport. Dr Hilton's report concluded "that multiple, small-magnitude sex differences accumulate to generate male advantage over females in darts". Looks like they’ve banned trans women from playing darts now of all things. Comes to something too when BBC Sport are quoting Sex Matters, and the DRA has commissioned noted transphobe Emma Hilton to helm a report for them. It’s a stitch-up, and it’s disgusting.
After almost twenty years on the platform, EFF is logging off of X.
This isn’t a decision we made lightly, but it might be overdue. 🧵 (1/5)

The full motherboard of the new Macbook Neo for 599$ (699€ in France) compared to the motherboard of an iPhone 16. Interesting.
The Macbook Neo is basically a smartphone with a keyboard and a bigger screen.

My dear front-end developers (and anyone who’s interested in the future of interfaces): I have crawled through depths of hell to bring you, for the foreseeable years, one of the more important foundational pieces of UI engineering (if not in implementation then certainly at least in concept): Fast, accurate and comprehensive userland text measurement algorithm in pure TypeScript, usable for laying out entire web pages without CSS, bypassing DOM measurements and reflow
this rules so much. sorry to the CSS zealots

It's clearly going to take the tech industry a while to understand that the "AI" brand is well and truly toxic
If you have a software or feature, sell it on what it does for people. If it's actually useful, then calling it "AI" will just make people assume it's yet another money-grabbing con.
You can (and should) add alt text to other documents besides HTML, including Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and more. Microsoft has put together a resource on how to add alt text to files made using Microsoft products.

And unlike most people in this field, I'm not even making much money out of it. Not even close to the minimum salary in Romania. So I'm hating it again, it's really messing me up, I'm not even making enough to get by anymore in the current context... kinda running out of reasons to keep on doing it.
This must've been one of the most challenging things I've worked on in a while. Thanks Bloomberg for sponsoring my work on this, and everyone who helped shipping a fix in time!
Raider Kid And The Ruby Chest finally found a way to its release day, on March 31th! It's been a 10yrs+ journey for the team and their love letter to simpler times, heavily inspired by Rick Dangerous (but waaaay less hardcore). Go play the demo if you haven't heard of this hidden gem <3

- Wonderfully effective for some good tasks
- Horrifyingly effective for some evil tasks
- Bad and actively harmful for lot of mundane tasks that it is being rapidly deployed into
