That being said, I might have reinstalled WoW a few days ago...

I miss the competitive side to an extent, but I also don't miss the amount of money and time spent...and now with the added sets it would just be too shitty to keep up with.

Commander is neat, I ended up dropping Magic (mostly) for Warhammer 40K and it was the best decision ever (for me).

Card games are fun and I played competitive Magic for several years. I ended up giving the game up almost entirely last year because of Hasbro's bullshit and oversaturation of Universes Beyond (also being shoved into Standard starting with FF set).

I do play Commander still sometimes.

Makes me wish I had an EV, but at the same time I only ever drive like 10 miles to work and 2 miles to the local shop to play 40K so I guess it could be far worse.

IMO RIft had its own issues that were never addressed and a lot of it was that it was far too easy.

I vividly remember playing Shaman/Druid hybrid and never having to actually try to heal anyone/anything...I was always top of DPS meters -and- did infinite healing and also always had infinite mana.

I didn't find it to be that big a deal, but I also played the class for a long time and got used to it. Several abilities apply it to everything and then you just sort of do big damage.

I just reinstalled WoW and got Midnight, so I need a server to play on now (Horde).

Except they're doing different things.

Disc does a ton of mitigation and damage prevention, Chloromancer is reactive healing.

They both do the damage->healing thing which is neat, but I would much rather see both of these types of healers together in a raid vs. one replacing the other.

More support DPS specs would be cool (like Augmentation Evoker), but I think the concept of Disc Priest is totally fine and very much enjoy offensive healers that want to actually do damage instead of just babysitting people with every global.

Disc does what it's supposed to do pretty well, honestly.

Offensive healing that wants to do damage and be proactive with mitigation instead of reactive healing. Disc has been my favorite healer for a VERY long time, though right now it's not in a great spot I hear due to how stuff is designed.
