Onderzoek en cijfers, prima, maar het frame dat de integratie goed gaat omdat steeds meer leerlingen 'met buitenlandse herkomst' (lieve help) HAVO of VWO doen, blijft zo'n miskleun. De meeste onderzochten zijn van Nederlandse afkomst en niemand hoeft HAVO of VWO te doen om 'geïntegreerd' te zijn.

(2) Rally effects can be conditional upon membership in relevant subgroups. We find that heterogeneity among the diaspora matters greatly: political interest increased in the aftermath of the coup attempt and stronger so among immigrants who supported the AKP-party.

(1) The attempted coup in Turkey heightened a strong political orientation towards Turkey, particularly among those who already displayed strong support for the regime right after migration.📈 In doing so, we stress that:
