My big issue with it was that Richard O'Brien and Ed Tudor Pole were good at the world-building. The Maze was ROB's home and he created the games, Ed had little backstories for the Zones etc.

Ayoade on the other hand, just made references to editing and made it clear it was just a set somewhere.

And compiled after the whole Gotcha Oscar thing had happened, so anyone who'd never seen the NHP skits wouldn't have known the context behind Noel revealing himself (Ooo-err!)

(E.g: The reveal in the Hudson and Halls one happened when he was holding the Gotcha so it just ends abruptly without that)
