1 U.S. coastguard died. What about the 145 CIVILIANS killed? 11 yesterday. No one mentions this, although it clearly violates international law. Why is this? Is not one concerned about how U.S. media obscures this? When did we become so morally bankrupt?

The paper and the article adopt a made-up causal narrative to justify supply-driven policies (i.e., the War on Drugs). With one aggravating factor: they blame the increase of cocaine in the U.S. on the prohibition of air-spraying Round-Up or glyphosate on Colombian peasants and Indigenous peoples.

Unsure about this claim. NPR relies solely on an unpublished paper which claims an increase in cocaine in the U.S. is caused by an increase in Colombia's coca production. But cocaine prices, which tend to be elastic, have remained constant. Also, the the alleged causes for coca increase are flimsy.

Why call him “want-to-be”?

That is because this is not a debatable proposition! You are right, but no matter what FOX or "NYT-style" reporters say, there is no other side to this... Sometimes I just wonder if there is a moral compass in this country!

And frankly, what does Peterson have to say about Nietzsche? He doesn’t get the Frankfurt School or Foucault, Dostoyevsky, or lobster evolutionary biology… He’s gonna pontificate about Nietzsche now? What a bore!

I do not understand the term “the intelligentsia of the DNC”, but it might be due to my limited understanding of English. Is that what they call an oxymoron?

Let’s just not re-post him. Please! These are serious issues people actually care about. They’re not “just news”!!!

Honestly, why are we engaging with these ridiculous comments made by a man with no interest or knowledge about this topic? Shouldn’t we be engaging with scientists who can tell us something about a topic very little is known about? Why of all people should we engage with Trump?

Here’s our latest article with @alex-huneeus.bsky.social about the evolution of environmental protection in the laws of war and the recent development of an ecocultural approach that seeks to go beyond the rights of nature/human rights divide

NOTHING justifies physically abusing a child. Much less a neurodivergent child that doesn’t want to switch an activity. Not teacher stress, overwork, admin mistreatment… ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! If teachers want to quit do so, but do not touch vulnerable neurodivergent children!

NOTHING justifies this! No overload, teacher stress, underpayment, simply NOTHING justifies a teacher physically abusing a neurodivergent child, or any child for that matter!

Uruguay’s José Mujica Aimed to Change the World On his journey from urban guerrilla to tortured prisoner to elected president, the world also changed him.

"No hay nada como la democracia. Cuando era joven, no pensaba así, es verdad. Cometí un error. Pero hoy lucho por ella. No es la sociedad perfecta, pero sí la mejor posible"
