So I'm delighted to see it on the ballot.

This has nothing to do with me personally - well, I did write an essay about it for Uncanny, but that's it - but as I said here during the last few days of Hugo voting, this was a genuinely great episode of television, and I didn't want the show's cancellation to overshadow that.

And WHILE I'M SQUAWKING

"THE ROAD TO THE SPEAR," an episode of Amazon/Sony's THE WHEEL OF TIME, LANDED ON THE HUGO BALLOT FOR BEST DRAMATIC PRESENTATION, SHORT FORM.

And congratulations to all of my fellow finalists!!!

So yes, "Care for Lightning" is now a Hugo and Nebula finalist for Best Poem.

The corals in the Arabian Sea have already gone through multiple mass bleaching/deaths in the past two decades. I cannot imagine that dumping oil on the water above them will be helpful.

What’s the federal funds rate, and how could changing it impact growth and employment?

These are all factual questions too. If a public official chooses to mislead on some facts, how can we be confident he won’t on others?

My mother was a Theater historian (though not a Shakespeare specialist) and her Shakespearean conspiracy theory was that he had an actual adult actress in his troupe for a while, and knew it, and wrote the roles of Lady Macbeth and Cleopatra for her.

That Shakespeare's plays were largely written by WIlliam Shakespeare

Also I have an elaborate and completely untrue conspiracy theory about Anne Boleyn's ghost which....

....eventually I'll get around to finishing that story. Eventually.

But I don't think we should necessarily take their LATER actions as indications that they - or at least the majority of their family members - didn't feel at least a TWINGE or two of concern for Jane Seymour.
