They only actually ever made the one; the baggage caboose wasn't too uncommon actually but one this size mostly was an attempt to make the kind of express boxcar they'd use for the freight obsolete. GN just renumbered it when better cabeese came on the road. www.nexusmods.com/railroader/m...

(10/10) This is intended to be a step in weakening these regulations by choosing an agency that isn't in the limelight on disability rights. And this is a small way you can help protect the rights of your disabled comrades.
(9/10) But the administration has repeatedly pulled back when they've faced the public showing discontent on these kinds of things, and you can leave a comment anonymously.
(8/10) What I'm posting this for is so you can leave a comment. This is not a petition, this is a part of the regulatory process. Whether or not you believe anyone's listening or reading, that's up to you.
(7/10) This is more or less the main requirement of 504 - because it establishes that intentional or otherwise, people do ableism.
(6/10) It's also removing the disparate impact bits in the 504 regulations - aka "you can't say that just because our coal power plants cause folks with asthma to suffer they're getting screwed over". Which is a big one.
(5/10) It's also removing the required timelines for completing transition plans - the documents that, when you do a discrimination, highlight how you're going to fix it. Right now it's 3 years, they want to take away any time requirement..
(4/10) Basically, what it's claiming is that section 504 doesn't actually require nondiscrimination in employment (it does) and tries to weaken protections around requiring translators, as well as posting information about employment
(3/10) The second is very clearly ChatGPT slop ass shit, citing cases that don't pertain to the topic, and it's intending to remove the employment and language requirements that were created by Section 504.
(2/10) The first is simple: they want to remove the new construction accessibility requirements. For whatever reason, they've gotten in their heads that "new construction has to be accessible" means a power plant's generator needs to be Architectural Barriers Act compliant (it does not).
(1/10) A heads up:
The Department of Energy is trying to weaken their Section 504 regulations. The links below have the actual text for what they want to do, BUT I'll give a quick explainer.

CHICAGO POPE
That's why I posted it! Plus the Cardinal is the most fun Amtrak train IMO especially between Indy and Chicago given Beech Grove shenanigans
A photo of a private car pulled behind Amtrak's Cardinal passing the Linden Depot Museum. In the background are two rail cars, a private car at the end of the train and in front of it an Amtrak Viewliner baggage-dorm, while in the foreground a caboose and diesel track car sit on a separated set of rails.
A photo of Amtrak's Cardinal passing the Linden Depot Museum. In the foreground is a separate track with a diesel rail car and caboose, while in the background the Cardinal passes, the locomotive being a heritage unit.
Which train did you put it on?
youtu.be/EqxqfARJnC4 New episode!
Honestly, I see where you're coming from, but I did not read it that way. I read it as Autistic people ARE loving contributors to our society.
Because Autistic people ARE loving contributors to society no matter our support needs. Contribution to society isn't just about paying taxes or working.
Thank you @bencollins.bsky.social, @acyn.bsky.social, and @govpritzker.illinois.gov on behalf of all Autistic people everywhere for highlighting this. As the CEO of Autism, I can assure you, all the weird ableist nepo babies combined couldn't have the heart the average autistic person has.
Reproductive health care is a disability justice issue. Check out four papers on disability and reproductive rights created with the National Partnership for Women & Families here: nationalpartnership.org/report/acces...
I'm not surprised to see this from @autisticadvocacy.org and I'm proud to be able to give it what little boost I can.
Point is - trans rights are human rights. Disability rights are human rights. We gain nothing by being insular in our campaign to lift each other up and promote a welcoming world for everyone, or by segregating and siloing ourselves. (4/5)
Also, it ends up justifying things like aggressive ABA, and conversion therapy - Lovaas was linked to the start of conversion therapy as well, and it's easier to justify both when you paint someone's gender identity (or any part of identity!) as "confusion" and something to be "fixed" (3/5)
People banning this care will add that "this poor person might just be autistic and confused" and that ends up doing double duty for fascists; not only do they make trans folks out to be lesser, they infantilize Autistic people and perpetuate the stereotypes of autism as a pure negative. (2/5)
Really good info - just want to highlight that a lot of these laws end up doing double-duty against Autistic folks too - a lot of Trans folks are Autistic and many of the bans - especially against minors getting care - use that as a justification (1/)
hey just a heads up - RFK's autism registry shit was stopped or rolled back. www.statnews.com/2025/04/24/n...
Community action and organization works. Now let's get the state level ones www.newsweek.com/autism-regis... @autisticadvocacy.org
youtu.be/jmVYopX5To4 Melissa wouldn't let me make the cursed thumbnail :( still turned out pretty good!
Lol I just realized the clip-straps on the baby backpack thingy are EXTREMELY modern, like... having worked with plenty of museums over the years, including living history ones, it wouldn't have been truly difficult to having something actually accurate.
It's a cheap cosplay.
It's less impressive when you realize that they're cosplaying caring about this sort of thing and that's why they look so awful - the lack of effort and real interest oozes from them both.
TEST POST PLEASE IGNORE
Do it
IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO DO
(They also might be waiting until they're too cool/draining them too much and so they aren't getting enough to stick)
