Good that it’s nice and light. I have a Sony 100-400 that’s a little over 3 lbs by itself.

That lightness “problem” will be solved by the pro lens. 🤨
It is true that the American people don’t support it. However, it is equally true that our congress does. There is no action. The best we get are congress folk calling for the 25th amendment. That is, we the elected government of the United States wish there was someone who would act.
Pathetic
No extradition there?
(Epstein distraction)
… as if anyone in this administration studied geopolitics at all
I have sworn never to utter his name. But I’d be ok with T****itraz. I live in the Bay Area so it might come up periodically.
So this can now be officially known as the war to loot Iran.
In his Hillary debate, he said he’d hire only people less smart than himself. While a very low bar, he has kept that one.
Unclear “thinking” had anything to do with it.
Good sign. But I’ll bet even that was someone else’s plan
Given the truth that everything he touches dies, I guess that’ll be the end of the dollar as a global currency standard.
It’s almost like “The King of Hearts” movie. Except it’s not accidental.
It’s been broken for a while, with both sides passing the buck to future generations. The breakage has undoubtedly accelerated lately, but with the “business orientation” of our government (pretend to be profit oriented), everything is squeezed to the breaking point. Healthcare in a similar state.
And it’s TACO Tuesday. But yes, he claims victory for everything and responsibility for nothing. Exactly the worst possible combination of traits for a “manager” (which he isn’t). He’s not even a leader, just a bully.
Besides, the child/orange buffoon will lose interest soon (if not already) and take his toys to play elsewhere. One hates to thing of foreign policy in these terms, but it’s accurate. There’s no plan or goal, so time to play something else.
I’ve read a few times about some Swedish communities where child rearing (as well as cooking, etc.) are shared. Sort of “it takes a village” to the extreme. Given both your poly situation as well as the property with a number of folks there, maybe there’s a way. But not my call (nor your mom’s :-))
(Past those issues, though we have 2 kids so maybe “passed” is ok, too.
It may be that there’s some of that thinking involved.
That said, you need to do what’s right for you and yours. But then, I’m 1) a son, and 2) 67 years old so passed those issues. One granddaughter but not pushing my daughters at all.
My aunt used to quote, “a son’s your son until he takes a wife, your daughter’s your daughter for the rest of your life.” While, shall we say, somewhat dated, this idea may be part of what’s going on with your mom. Your brothers now “belong” to their wives (assuming there are some).
Or, say, fund healthcare for all.
(Also _worth a visit_. Where’s the “edit” button.)
While our politicians and other, so-called, leaders are a mess, I think that the perceived anonymity of the internet and the impersonality thereof give rise to much of the lack of respect. Being “close” to many folks you’ll never see in person allows some to discard common courtesy and respect.
I’m probably biased. Younger daughter had a residency at the Tacoma Museum of Glass (also with a visit). She designed, they did the glass blowing.
Hunt down “Blown Away” — I think it’s on Netflix. Glass blowing contest show. It’s American, so not as good as the British shows, but still pretty good.
Not glass, but the Great Pottery Throw Down (pottery) is terrific. And it’s British, so instead of causing conflict, the contestants help.
Anything Chicago V or earlier. Color My World, Saturday in the Park, Dialogue, …
Back to the f*cking crusades. And the Dark Ages. I guess many have checked their brains at the church door. Rendering our government completely nonfunctional.
Don’t rule out both!
Every accusation is an admission.
1) given history, peace in the Middle East — this time for sure.
2) “Pinpoint bombing” right at the girls school — a bit of an admission.
