Monday is the birthday celebration for @foxalope.bsky.social! As is tradition, we are continuing our Kid's Campaign for D&D - adults (us) playing children (our characters) playing make-believe (Dungeons and Dragons). So far we have ruined a daycare and destroyed a pizza arcade...what comes next?

Pulp Cthulhu was definitely an experience tonight. The party witnessed a seance while eating pigeon food cookies, and an investigator learned the Summon/Bind Byakhee spell. Can't wait for the next game!

Now back to the wasteland of Kingman, AZ to continue our Fallout 2d20 game. @modiphius.bsky.social did an amazing job with this system, and even though I'm dying from radiation, I love it all the same.

Somehow my Call of Cthulhu table managed to roll two 100's last night, both times to avoid environmental exposure damage...I think they might be cursed...

I would definitely recommend the How We Roll people, then, as well as the introduction videos @sskorkowsky.bsky.social made on YouTube for people starting to play Cthulhu. I use his videos for any new players at my table, and they have been very well received. Best of luck!

My Call of Cthulhu game got pushed back to tomorrow, which throws the week off a bit but I will survive. At least my Curse of Strahd game this weekend still seems good to go...it is about time I show this table the consequences of their actions...mwahahaha...

I would recommend the How We Roll podcast for some good examples of the range you can find in Call of Cthulhu. Is this your first dive into the system?

Have to work on my Curse of Strahd table prep tomorrow/today. I would love to say that I trust my players to be predictable so that I know what to be prepared for, but that definitely isn't going to happen...

Being both a GM and a Dom are definitely more service oriented than most people realize. At least, the ones that are well regarded in their collective communities.

As someone who runs both Call of Cthulhu and D&D tables, I can sympathize with one feeling more like the other sometimes. I'm convinced one of my Cthulhu tables is full of more gremlins than my Strahd game...
