I made my first tree grafting this week with scions from Claude Jolicoeur's wild cider apples. It went very well! 😁

Can't wait to see if it works. 🏥🌳🍎

The source is The Illustrated History of Apples in the United States and Canada.

"This variety was also called Golden Russet of New York and Golden Russet of Western New York to distinguish it from Golden Russet of Massachusetts [Hunt Russet] and from various other apples which have been disseminated under the name Golden Russet."

I made a pack of people I found, and I tried a feed also which you can follow. It's not perfect but it's made of people related to cider.🫡

Should there be a photo?

Yeah I find that commercial yeasts always taste the same. Often the champagne. I prefer wild yeasts. ☺️

I read the novel 1984 this year. When I read this news, it was a full immersion into the book. No exaggeration here.

It was a bought one from a cider maker. It was mainly Flemish beauty, and then perry pears. I'll write them to know what was the yeast, cultivated one or wild.

Do you use wild yeast when you make one?

C'est tellement drôle que la CAQ pourrait passer de 90 à 10 députés.

Poiré mousseux d'Entre pierre et terre

Poiré mousseux d'Entre pierre et terre

My first perry ever. So far so good. 🥹

I don't know what it is supposed to taste like.

It's sweet, it tastes pears, it's sparkling. Maybe a bit too sweet, it's 10g/L of sugar, so I guess it ain't dry.

I am pretty happy with this feed. Almost 90% of his content is related to cider. 🍎🍏🍺

Feel free to like it and to pin it to the feeds you follow.

Yeah I could go to the grocery and stand in front of the Red Delicious stand, and watch if any people buys it. I mean, the Red Delicious are always there but I've never seen anyone buy one since I don't know when. There may be a conspiracy.

Isn't it taking out all the food for the yeasts?
