I had that book. Great find. But troubling that things I grew up with are now museum-worthy.
I’ve reached the age where a sneeze or a hard cough will throw out my back. 🥴

I used to study mosquitoes and the parasites they transmit. Sacrificed hundreds of thousands for the sake of learning their secrets. I think the local population got wind of it and decided I was to be sacrificed to their blood god.
Put me down for ten cases of bioluminescence.
Reasons to play Dieselpunk 1921:
You can shoot imperialists in it
It's good
It's straightforward
There's tons of character options
I didn't use AI to make it
It's free!
I was veeeery into horror comics in the 1970s. I still remember a few, though I would be challenged to find the titles. Probably explains why I am always looking for something weird to experience in books and games.
I’m starting to agree with the “snowbirds” who live in the nearby towns. Except I want to be a “reverse snowbird”: during the winter, live in southern Wisconsin; during the summer move to Greenland.
It’s an adventure!
We have a dog. He’s not exactly a good herder. Sheep populations expand exponentially. I didn’t intend to have this many! We are having a sale this fall. Maybe get them back down to a handleable 30 or so.
Nah, the wool works like an insulator and keeps them a bit cooler. A couple degrees anyway. But direct sunlight for them is bad. They are basically vampires.
I completely agree. I’ve never sold anything I designed - and that was in the before time, when electrons weren’t owned by the corporations - so I’m not technically a designer. But as a GM, it does drive me a little nuts when I roll up with a cart full of options, and everyone picks 5e.
I mean, to be fair, most of us started telling stories to each other in elementary or middle school. No rules. Usually. I think our addiction kinda grew from that. And whatever game got slapped down in front of us first was like throwing a bag of crack into the window of a crackhouse.
Hmm… still around. SL is, too.
60+ sheep deciding they don’t want to cooperate is a force to be reckoned with.
Me: “Chill for an hour; you’ll love the spot I’m moving you to.” <Starts opening gate to the holding lot.>
Sheep: <knocking down fence and running for the adjacent pasture> “Frreeee! Ffrrreeeee, my Precious!! Om nom nom nom!!”
Me: “*sighs* fuck”

Me: “Okay sheep, time to move to the holding area while I work out the temporary fence for getting you to the back pasture. No shenanigans.”
Sheep: “But that pasture right over there has lots of yummy sweet grass!”
Me: “That’s for the week after next.”
Sheep: “We wants it, Precious!”

Right? It takes a village. Every. Single. Successful. YouTuber. Has an entire team backing them up. I cannot emphasize this enough. Creators do not have to do everything by themselves, because the necessary people with the right skill sets are out there. We all can help each other make things.
You need to re-lyric Soft Cell’s Sex Dwarf (very NSFW and mildly off for some folks) to Space Dwarf. All the grognards will fall all over themselves.
Gen Con is around the corner. The Old Gods of Appalachia RPG is back in stock on the MCG Shop. We've been sharing exciting news about upcoming changes to the Cypher System every week. Surely we haven't had time to be cooking up anything else.
Surely....

It’s because everybody in charge has an elementary school equivalent maturity. Full stop.
Free League is doing amazing things; and frankly I’ve never seen a bad title come out of them. Not that I’ve had the chance to play them all! I have a crew that I run Vaesen for and I’m all over Alien right now - need players for that. Dragonbane and Symbaroum are our funny/dark fixes.
That’s super exciting. This is one I’ve been drooling over since the new edition dropped. Unfortunately, some of my crew are solid fantasy-only, so we may need to… split the party! <rimshot>

Hot sheep huddling in the shade
On a hot day, sheep hide in shady spots to stay out of the sun. Kind of like me!
I feel really bad for our sheep right now. Everyone is basically just a floof potato.
