@novapbs.bsky.social's Return to the Moon is helping some with my #ArtemisII withdrawal. Thank you and impressive work on putting this together so quickly!
This is the way. (I could swear I've seen flights from Boston to either a midwest or some other east coast destination that involve a layover in Honolulu. Should have screenshot at the time!)
Sorry, Rocket, my money's on the dinosaurs.
WTF, I thought these astronauts were done making me cry??!?
Crew. Form up.

Cat watching visualization of the blackout period of the Artemis II reentry
Upgraded himself to center of attention cat for a bit there of course.
Probably uncharitable to suggest someone push the administrator off the deck, but 🤷🏻♀️

I cannot wear a polo shirt to this day*, but if you told me I could go to the moon only if I had to wear a blue one again, I'd do it.
*it was a good early work experience, but the uniform was 👎🏻
Love, love, love that as Commander, Wiseman is last off the ship.

Okay, but our dude the narrator is incorrect about Apollo 17 being the last water landing. Unless there's something later I'm missing, he skipped all the Skylab Apollo capsules plus the capsule from Apollo-Soyuz in July '75.

This is delightful.
I wonder if there will be cake for the crew on the ship?? I just discovered Apollo 16 got cake--pics here!

Emotional support cat for #artemisii reentry!
Just Googled what the top speed of the USS John Murtha is.
Realizing I don't know how long it takes such a vessel to reach its top speed but letting that go.

I just made a drink. I'm so nervous and can't watch sober. I need my new space buddies home safe!!
Some of the questions are okay, but the Artemis crew having to take showboating questions from politicians on their last evening in space = 👎🏻. Would have had better questions from 12 yos. #artemisii
The blackout period in the descent tomorrow is going to be absolutely excruciating.
Yes!! You just have to do it gradually and accept that while they may never love it, they can tolerate it pretty well to get a taste of the yummy cat toothpaste. We brush daily and it only takes a couple minutes.
Victor Glover talking about his eyes and being about to turn 50…relate.
Can we just throw him in The Hague already?????
At one point today one of the crew joked about asking them for the distances in km and parsecs, but the km part shouldn't have been a joke!
FWIW, many people in the late 60s were reported to feel the same way.
PBS News Hour's science correspondent reporting on Artemis is named Miles O'Brien. Huh.
Tell me you're a 90s girl without telling me you're a 90s girl! (I mean, not 100% sure, but it's a guess I'd bet on.)
Just reminding myself how quickly Caesar was gone after putting himself on Roman coins...and then they made a coin about THAT!
Can't believe I got roped into a ping pong tournament tonight and even had fun.
Suspect more fun than if I'd watched a movie about it instead.
You're welcome--bon voyage!!
I flew domestic last Sunday arriving at BOS early afternoon, and the TSA Pre line was no different than usual.
This is so good.
H/t to R!
