Lots of interested content creators - we have a meaningful strategy here to pull in new audiences to the Atmosphere.

Yeah I actually agree here. I do think stories makes sense to standardise.

Yeah it’s always been our plan to not just do short form video. Photos/Carousels have always been and will be (with some cool ATproto-enabled stuff in the works) part of Spark. Much more akin to IG with their mix of posts/reels. Once we get enough parity we’ll differentiate even further.

Still image carousels are fine, a dedicated photos feed would be nice - similar to @grain.social which is doing a fantastic job. User-choice is driving that. Carousels are one of the most popular engagement primitives on IG and TikTok.

None of it technically breaches our (or Bluesky’s) comm guidelines. Would love to drown that out with more greenfield posts so please post more! Also can just use the following feed or build your own. We’re getting the primitives right to allow good content to surface but clearly not there yet.

We actually had a complex sync with Bluesky mechanism but that just gets way out of hand.

@sprk.so went through a lot of iteration on this (as mentioned by @knotbin.com in his talk in Vancouver) and this is exactly where we landed a while ago - discover/import is on its way!

Totally! It feels like one of the few genuinely feature-complete atmosphere apps. Beyond that, one of the few that actually feels better than its alternatives, thanks in part to atproto
