I’ve just rolled the credits on Astrobot. I’ve really enjoyed playing it with the 5 year old. What a delight that was.

Arc or OmniFocus?

After a 6 year excursion to Things and Apple Reminders I upgraded my @omnifocus.omnigroup.com licence this morning. I missed defer dates in Apple Reminders and perspectives in Things. Not quite got OmniFocus dialled in to how I need it to work yet, but it feels good to be back using it.

It’ll never replace my Apple stuff but I suffer from migraines and it’s easier sometimes to use an e-ink screen. I like to use it in the evenings and it was great in the summer around the pool in the bright greek sunshine. Never thought I’d own an Android device but here we are.

Boox Palma

Sort of. More like a dumb phone. It doesn’t make calls and I have a very limited number of apps installed to encourage me to read rather than scroll.

I’m still enjoying the Boox Palma. Probably the best thing I purchased last year.

I’ve just spent far longer than I’d like to admit making an Apple Shortcut to help me capture some stuff from Arc browser into Omnifocus, because the OF quick capture feature doesn’t work with Arc.

And yes, I’m trying out Omnifocus again.

My brain still hasn’t worked out that it’s on holiday and it’s ok to sleep in.

I saw him in Manchester last weekend and it was easily the best thing I’ve ever seen, and we’ve been lucky to see a lot of live music this year. The whole show was amazing and an emotional rollercoaster.

Roughly 30 items in my Apple Reminders Inbox have disappeared. I think that experiment is now over. Back to Things app or maybe old faithful OmniFocus.

I still think it’s weird that you can’t complete a list in Apple Reminders and you can only delete it.

I’ve still not found a replacement for Omnivore. Currently saving articles to Reminders for reading later, reading in Safari and then using the Obsidian web clipper to save highlights. It feels messy but maybe it’s all that is needed.

Spin class and two ceilings painted. I’m done now and will not be moving off the sofa for the rest of the evening.

This is exactly what I try to do. The floating day off is the key. Takes the pressure off if I get a migraine day.

Thought about you last night when I was looking at the weather map. Wind is the most unsettling of the weather types.
